64 Bit DLL

Question

Hi:I am using a DLL on Windows 7 64-bit, TC v9.20.2460.7 and my DLL is 32-bit. &nbsp;Help says: "When calling routines from a dynamic link library, TestComplete loads the library into a special helper process (tcHostingProcess.exe). " &nbsp;And I read there has to be one for 32-bit and one for 64-bit.&nbsp;If I am only using one DLL, 32-bit, running TC on a 64-bit machine, do I need to define a program environment?

Hi Ismail, &nbsp; Two hosting processes will be important for you only when you use DDLs of different types (64-bit and 32-bit). As you are using only a 32-bit dll, there will be only one hosting process. Refer to the "Specifics of Using 32- and 64-bit DLLs" article for details. &nbsp;
