XML Slurper is another way you can use to assert your XML response, using a Script Assertion, giving you control of what part of your response you are asserting. You can learn here about how to use the XML Slurper: http://groovy.codehaus.org/Reading+XML+using+Groovy%27s+XmlSlurper
