ReadyAPI 2.0?
So has anyone gotten a chance to use it yet? What are your thoughts so far? I'm in the middle of preparing for a huge series of testing so I haven't upgraded yet.
Just to be clear, DataGen test step does work in 2.0 and is not removed yet. The warning is added to notify everyone that it will be removed eventually and give a time period to move to DataSource test step before that. Also, the fixes to issues in DataGen are unlikely since it is now deprecated and all uses cases (should) be covered by DataSource.
Hi IgorG,
Thanks for the clarification, it's good to know it's still usable.
While I understand the need to deprecate and remove obsolete features, it does not seem that the DataGenerator has a generic Groovy script option, like the DataGen step has. At the moment I don't see how to replace our uses of the DataGen step with the DataGenerator data source.
groovyguy, here's the recording: What's New in Ready! API 2.0. They sent the link today by mail.
Radford Data Generator does not. However, DataSource itself does. Hopefully it would be enough. If its not, now would be a great time to raise an issue so that our developers know about it. :)
