Issues with scheduler

Hi All,

Working on Mac OS X 10.7.5

I can't seem to get schedulers doing what I want.

I set start at to 0 - because I want it to start what it is connected too as soon as a start
I set duration to 10 - because I want it to stop after 10 minutes
I set unit to minutes
I set mode to single

Find enclosed a screenshot.

The result is that the url just keeps getting hit. At the time I would expect it to stop, nothing happens.

What am I doing wrong?

So I created a new project and started from scratch and suddenly, interval seems to be working as I would expect it too.

However, I am still not getting what I would expect from a Scheduler.

First, they look different from all tutorials - as interval did- (see screenshot). I am also having to assume that the "Duration" dial is calibrated to seconds. I have tried using it assuming calibration to seconds and minutes with no results that made sense.

Regardless, if I set it to a time, it never seems to kick off what it is attached too. I have tried connecting it to a Generator and VU Scenario, but it does not seem to start things going in either case.

    Thanks,

More info and a work around.

So as I get more familiar with the bits and pieces, I am finding that I have pretty much pinned down the issue with Scheduler - and its funky.

So first, here is the problem:

    1) When you enter a time to start, the hours:minutes:seconds designations are exactly backwards. So in other words, when you enter them, you need to enter the seconds:minutes:hours of the time you want the test to begin. By switching between the full and small view of the component, you can see what I am talking about. See included images.

The solution is to simply enter the time numerals in reverse order. So in the included example, I want the test to start at 7PM, so I enter 00:00:19. If it had been 7:30PM, I would have entered 00:30:19.

Next, the duration is indeed going to cue off of seconds. So I want this to run for 8 hours, so I have to enter 28,800 in the duration.

Of course, life will be better when it just works as it should.

NOTE: While this workaround appears to make the Scheduler work to control a generator, its does NOT appear to facilitate the starting of a VU Scenario.

    Thanks,
    CG

Apparently, this issue is present in both LoadUI and LoadUI Pro.

I went ahead and signed up for the trial of LoadUI Pro and my company is planning to get a license. However, we need to get calibrated to how soon this Scheduler issue is going to be resolved.

    Thanks,

  • Hello.
Thanks for notifying us about this issue. It turns out that we have multiple problems with the scheduler component. A issue have been created in out internal bug tracking system(LOADUI-1094) and i set the priority to "Critical"(highest priority) as this is an really important feature of LoadUI. This will be prioritized and dealt with as soon as possible.

  • In 2.6.5 that we released yesterday we fixed the scheduler issue that was causing it to look at the time backwards. It should now see the inputted time as hours min sec.

Head over here for more information about this release.

    Regards,
    The LoadUI team
