Beef up the Datasink
First I just want to say that 'Pro' is an awesome tool, I use it and love it. Its many rich features extended the power of the tester hugely, and the breadth and depth of my tests are able to stun the best of my developers (which is not an easy task).
That said, I have an Enhancement Request for the Datasink feature, particularly the Grid option, which is so useful and important yet sadly under-developed.
1. The rows, columns, and individual cells need to be individually selectable, like how the Datasource feilds are. This is essential. I want to be able to copy an paste specific rows/columns and copy to the Datasource table where they can be asserted as a static value. But better than this see #2...
2. Assertions for the Datasink, its individual cells, in Grid mode. I want to capture a value from a good run, and save it to be asserted against future runs. The fluid results of Datasink can thus be 'sampled' directly.
3. Row count, like in the Datasource (for the love of GOD!). I don't enjoy manually counting rows to sync lines between Sink and Source.
4. Enable the type of content checking that now exists for JDBC assertions. I love the ability to use reg-exs easily with the != switch.
That is all. Thanks again for a great tool. This improvement would be of great utility to everyone!
