- Is there any URL to download the "500 Internet Server Error" bug fixing patch after upgraded to 9.8.1 from 9.7.0?
Many thanks. - curtis_malaskyOccasional ContributorHeya Brett,
This IS a weird one. We find that hitting 'F5' once of twice trying to get to the login page will eventually load the login page.
We also find that sometimes, when you enter the correct authentication, we get the 'session has timed out page', try again, and are then successful. c-r-a-z-y.
I assume you opened a support request on that one.
Curtis - SwoopFrequent ContributorWe did open a ticket, and they responded with a patch that fixed the 500 error, but it introduced SEVERE problems when running test cases. Our testers cannot save any data to any of our tests, whether they are continuing paused tests or creating brand new tests.
- SwoopFrequent ContributorThere is a follow on change dealing with DLL files which resolves the testing issue. That seems to have resolved the problem with testers being able to save data or pass tests.
- SwoopFrequent ContributorYou will also need to have them walk you through the .NET4 framework upgrade, to resolve the problem with the support manager urls throwing 404s
- Description of problem:
After upgrading from 9.7.0 to 9.8.1, the login screen displays a 500 internal server error.
Who is affected:
Only those customers who had previously installed 9.7.0 version and are now upgrading to 9.8.1 as well as those who upgraded from 9.7.0 to 9.7.5 and now to 9.8.1.
Cause:
The update package was missing logic to create and update configuration settings that were introduced in the latest version.
Workaround:
Refreshing the page twice will display the login page successfully.
Status on resolution:
An updated upgrade package will be made available starting Thursday June 20th, 2013
We will be posting more information once the upgrade package is available.
