Hi Francois,
Please make sure that you have installed an x64 edition of AQtime Standard. Its version (Help | About) is 7.20.466.647 while the x86 edition's version is 7.20.466.867.- chehilbi81Occasional Contributori have installed the x64 edition version7.20.466.647
Hi Francois,
Please open the Services snap-in (Control Panel | Administrative Tools | Services) and check whether the services list contains the AQtime 7 Service (x64) item. If this item exists, try to start it and check whether it can be started.
If the service exists and can be started, please try to reproduce the problem with another C# application. For example, you can use one of the sample applications shipped along with the tool. They are located in the c:\Users\Public\Documents\AQtime 7 Samples\ folder.
Also, please check whether you can reproduce the problem with Performance, Allocation and Exception Trace profilers.
Let me know your results.- chehilbi81Occasional Contributori have installed AQtime for x64
i tried some c# example and the profiling is running...
when i build my c# project for x86 plattform, AQtime is running correctly.the profiling is working.
but when i build the c# project for x64 or "any CPU" and start the profiling then i get the same error message.
why???
Hi Francois,
Have you checked whether the AQtime 7 Service (x64) service exists and can be started manually?
What exactly profiler you have this problem with? Do you have the problem with the Exception Trace profiler?- chehilbi81Occasional Contributorhi david,
iam not sure but i have found this services "DebuggerService7x64.exe" and "DebuggerService7x86.exe". the services can be manually started.
When i used these executables which build for x64 and anyCpu (visual studio) and begin with the profiliing (Run or F5) then immediately i become this error message. but when i used executables for x86 the profiling can be started.
Are special Settings requried in Visual Studio?
Hi Francois,
These are names of the services' executable files. In the Services snap-in they are listed as AQtime 7 Service and AQtime 7 Service (x64). Please open this snap-in and check whether you can start these services manually. To open it, press the Win-R shortcut to open the Run dialog, insert the services.msc string into the text box and click OK.iam not sure but i have found this services "DebuggerService7x64.exe" and "DebuggerService7x86.exe". the services can be manually started
Also, you can try to run services by launching these executables with the -service parameter:"c:\Program Files\SmartBear\AQtime 7\Bin\DebuggerService7x64.exe" -service
- chehilbi81Occasional Contributorhi david,
sorry my bad english... know i understand.
in the service snap-in i only have AQtime 7 service for x86. the other service for x64 isnt there.
i cant start the service manually. it doesnt work.
it's possible to install it again? why i cant start it by manual? - chehilbi81Occasional Contributorhi david,
i think there is any problem with the x64 support.
i have removed and installed the "x64 support" (change installation) from the current aqtime installation. after this the aqtime 7 service (x64) was in the service snap-in, but now i could not open the aqtime Standard programm, i got any aqtime memory error message. after a reboot i got the same error message.
No i have removed the complete aqtime installation. after this i have installed it again. Now aqtime standard is working, but only with x86 executables.the service for x64 isnt installed.
sorry for my bad english.
Hi Francois,
AQtime Standard x64 works for us without problems for profiling x64 C# applications. Most probably, the problem is specific to your OS or environment. In this case, please let me know which exactly operating system you have.
Also, please:
1. Run the msinfo32 utility (Start | Run...).
2. Save the information it collects to an *.NFO file (File | Save...).
3. Post here the file.
BTW, can you check whether the problem occurs on another computer?
