AQTime 6.40: Integration with RAD Studio 2010

We will check this and I will post here our results.

I see the same problem as Thomas. I have tried it on my current Windows 7 x64 installation and on the previous Vista 32 bit installation and I get the same result on both. I have also tried completely uninstalling AQTime and re-installing without success. Both the x64 and the x86 installers behave the same.



My versions don't quite match Thomas's because I did not install Update 2 :



Embarcadero® RAD Studio 2010 Version 14.0.3615.26342

Installed updates:

Delphi  and C++Builder 2010 Help Update 1

Delphi  and C++Builder 2010 Update 4

Delphi  and C++Builder 2010 Update 5 (Database Pack Update)

C++Builder 2010 Boost Update



A red herring is the fact that the registry entries for 2010 have two spaces between ther word "Delphi" and the word "and" whereas the D2009 entries have only one space. Changing the D2010 entries to match does not fix it.

I'm experiencing the same error message during installation. Windows 7 32-bit, Embarcadero® Delphi® 2010 Version 14.0.3593.25826, Update 4, Update 5 (Database Pack), Help Update 2.

I receive the same error. WinXP, Delphi 2010 Architect, all Delphi updates applied up to 5. Updates were downloaded and installed manually rather than using the Delphi IDE's check for updates.

It does not seem to be tied to the specific patch level.  I uninstalled my copy of Delphi 2010 professional, then reinstalled it.



The AQTime install (64 bit version) gave the same "Unable to determine the installed version" warning against the base install, after installing update 4, after update 5, and after help update 2.



Windows 7, 64bit, 8GB RAM

Delphi 2010 Professional (base or updated)

Same here:

Rad Studio 2010 Architect Update 4/5, Boost Update, Help Update 2

Windows 7 x64 German



Just guessing, but the Help Update 2 was released just a few days before AQTime 6.40.

Thanks for letting us know that we are not all going mad.



Those of us that posted here seem to have slightly different versions of D2010 installed despite all of us running updates 4 and 5. If you should get to a stage where you think you have fixed it but don't have all the D2010 versions at hand, I for one would be happy to try a test installation before a formal release.

It might also be a good idea to reveal the way the installer tries to detect the Delphi version.

Some additional information:

• In the meanwhile I've tried installing AQtime 6.40 on several machines with different Delphi 2010 versions / different Windows versions: no success at all. For me it seems to be a quite widespread problem.


• As Eric and Uwe said: feel free to contact me if you need someone to test the fixed version before release.
