how to upload junit test result file to existing test cycle

This question has been asked a few times, and I guess it has not been properly answered.

Documentation for junit automation says that the testCycle part is used to customize the created test cycle. This implies that a new testcycle is created, but can we still link it to an existing test cycle key?
