Hi Lorenz,
AlexKaras is right - the underlying engine supports WPF control templates, but this is something that is configured via engine options, and the TestLeft Options API currently does not provide access to WPF template options. Please open a support ticket and refer to this thread.

Hi,
In TestComplete / TestExecute this is possible and is controlled on the project level (https://support.smartbear.com/testcomplete/docs/app-testing/desktop/wpf/template-support.html). But in TestLeft (maybe because of the absence of project file?) this seems not to be possible. (At least, the Open Applications entry is absent in the Options... menu.)
Maybe HKosova will be able to comment on your question.
Otherwise, I would recommend to ask Support via the https://support.smartbear.com/message/?prod=TestLeft form. (I will appreciate it if you let us know what was Support's reply.)
