UI Spy does not open

I have started a TestLeft trial and installed the software, but when I click the button for the UI spy in the Start Menu, the program does not launch - I get two brief hourglasses of the windows cursor, then... nada.

I was able to create a project in VS code and paste in the example Notepad test, and it works, so I guess the app installed OK, just the UI spy does not start.

I also have TestComplete installed on this workstation, which works.

Any idea as to what I can do to get the UI spy to work?

I created a support ticket 2 days ago, but have not heard back from them.

I see two errors in the Event log which seem to be relevant:

.NET Runtime error:
