Best way to create and organise tests
What would be the most efficient way of organising tests for this scenario: I want to have my test cycles in subfolders so that they are under the app name and then under the version name, E.g. APP NAME - V9.5.0 However, when a new version is released and I create another folder e.g. v9.5.6, what would be the best way of migrating all of the tests into v9.5.6 but would also allow me to edit them without affecting the tests in the older folder v9.5.0? The only way I can see is if I create a new test cycle, add in all of the tests and then go into each test that I want to edit, create a new version, edit it and save it, is this the best way?Solved16Views0likes1CommentZephyr Scale Cloud
Hi, I’m experiencing trouble today with a few things; API - the test execution onlyLastExecutions=true but is still showing all Executions. Seems that past executions are also showing in test cycles too rather than just the latest. Anyone else experiencing this issue? Thanks208Views0likes4CommentsFilter Test Cases By Execution Results
I attempted to see if this question had been answered before, but I didn't see it. Is it possible from the Test Cases tab (not reports) to filter test cases based on their execution state? I'm aware that I can sort them by last execution, but I would prefer to filter down to just a specific execution state so that I can bulk edit them. The specific use case is this: I'd like to identify all tests that have been created but never executed and archive them. These are likely tests that were imported when we moved to Zephyr and have little value other than cluttering up our test case list. A secondary use case is this: I would occasionally like to narrow down to only test cases that failed the last time they were run. We could potentially build a test suite based on these failures to see if they were indirectly solved at some point in the future.Solved25Views0likes2CommentsExport Problem in Zephyr Scale Reporting for Confluence
Hi All, I have just used the Zephyr Scale Reporting for Confluence plugin to create test metrics in Confluence. However, when I export the confluence page in Word or PDF I cannot see the graphs/tables. Instead, I see only the titles I manually created. (see attachment) Is there a solution or workaround?6Views0likes0CommentsZephyr Feedback
About a month ago, SmartBear introduced a Create/Create & Edit button which is useful but has two flaws: If I'm creating a test case, I want the button to be: Create and Edit but when I'm creating a test cycle, I want it to be Create. Unfortunately, there's a bug that prevents this scenario from happening automatically. I have to manually switch between the two states all the time so this need to be fixed. I always create a test case then a test cycle. It'd be far easier for me if I could do both steps from one modal.3Views0likes0CommentsNot able to create test cases and test cycles in Zephyr scale.
Not able to create test cases and test cycles in Zephyr scale. Add test cycle button, Test case button is grayed out. Throwing error such as "permission not there..." Although we have Zephyr Scale Plugin added in JIRA. It was working fine but suddenly after few hours we are not able to Create Test cases as the Buttons are greyed out. PFA below Screenshot of the error.Solved698Views0likes5CommentsQuestions on Zephyr Scale
Can we make the Test case fields mandatory like Precondition, Folder, Priority, Component, Coverage, Owner, Steps, Action, Expected Results? Can we remove the fields like Objective, Labels and Estimated Time? Where do we have standard field for tracking Test type (Manual)? Can we remove Test Script from Test steps?21Views0likes2CommentsCucumber tags for examples
I want to add tags (testCaseKey) to the examples, rather then the scenario. This requirement is because each example is a different testcase. For example: Scenario Outline: testing Given ---- When ----- @TestCaseKey=Web-T96 Examples: |Day | | Mon| @TestCaseKey=Web-T97 Examples: |Day | | Tue| When i add the tags as above only the first tag @TestCaseKey=Web-T96 is executed in zephyr scale testcycle with both the examples. How can i execute the tags separately without creating another scenario13Views0likes0CommentsZephyr Scale get testexecutions endpoint, testCycle query param seems to not be working
Steps to replicate: Make api call to get testcycles copy id from one of the responses use the test cycle ID as a parameter for testCycle in the get testexecutions endpoint testCycle : {id from step 2} Expected: to return the test execution for that test cycle Actual: Returning no results NOTE: this was working previously Work around: use the key from the get testcycles endpoint rather than ID16Views0likes0Comments
