How to add multiple Components to test cases in Zephyr Scale?
We are trying to assign more than one Component to a Test Case but have not found a way to do so. This is using the Components list from Jira but the behavior in Zephyr is contrary to how we are able to use Components in Jira. If there is a way to do this or set an option to do so in Zephyr, please let me know.
Email notification when I assign test cases to my team
I need team members to get an email notification when test cases are assigned (or re-assigned) to them for execution. I know it isn't a feature currently in Zephyr Scale, but it is a feature I desperately need. This is particularly important as we ran several UATs across the year, involving several people in distributed location. The most efficient way to assign a test to the is for the action to trigger an email notification This is a feature that SmartBear needs to look into, because a lot of competitor applications can do it.My teams have recently moved to Zephyr Scale, from Azure DevOps, where such a feature was available.Test execn. outside Test Cycles _HELP
Hi all Is it possible to restrict users from executing Test cases outside Test cycle , we want to limit Test execution within Test cycle only . Please share any knowledge , hopefully there is a solution other than asking users :). Linkable directory with its content
Hello everyone, It's been several years of this feature being absent and I just don't understand why as it brings such a big inconvenience to users, especially when you need to share a bulk of test cases with other colleagues. Situation: GIVEN a user of some 2+ development team WHEN the user wants to share some bulk of specific test cases in a particular top- or sub-directory in order to show new OR updated multiple test cases for existing OR new functionality with other team members THEN the user can simply open or select the desired directory in the drop-down OR with the help of the clipboard icon, and copy a static link to this folder/directory which will bring other users who received this link to this specificfolder/directory with the list of test cases inside in order to quickly see updated or save it to JIRA tasks as a reference to the location of test cases that require the update or other work on it. Current result: Currently, there is no such function. When trying to copy the browser URL and open it on another machine as another JIRA user I get brought to the general "All test cases" page. When I copy and open this URL within my JIRA user / Browser it opens the desired directory but unfortunately, it is useless. Can we do something here? We've been your customers for years and already requested this feature in the past but no progress was made toward this request. I hope we canstill receive it and I'm requesting it for the last time as it hasalready become vital for us to have this feature for upcoming workflow, otherwise, we will not be able to use it anymore. Report with issues calculating
Hello, I have few questions related to the reports creation as far as the UI of reports page is changed. 1. The documentation shows that there should be 17 types of reports related to issues, while in current version I didn't find them. Could you please clarify maybe look into the wrong place? https://support.smartbear.com/zephyr-scale-server/docs/reports/overview.html#_issue_reports 2. I have created the "Test execution scorecard by test cycle" report. A lot of my TCs were failed by the same issue, but the report displays the number of issues = number of failed test cases. Zypher Scale allows me to compare different versions of a specific test case under the History tab. This feature works fine, but there is no direct way that the report can be downloaded from Zypher. The only work around I have found is to download page as an HTML, but this will not work for down the road testing. Is there any way that I can export this comparison into a human friendly file format via Zypher.
Feature request: URL custom field type
Hi, I would appreciate that custom field could be configured as URL link. URL in Test field (Muti Line) can be used as workaround, but this kind of field cannot be displayed at grids (table) views. I believe this is a small feature to implement, but with interesting added value for users - at least for me 😊Zephyr Scale Tracelink Table & Latest Execution Not Showing on Jira Screen
I'm running into an issue that is kind of odd and I want to learn more about how the tracelink table works in the database and it's because ofthis: We have a defect in Jira that shows the execution's for test cases (nothing suspect there) however, for one of the test cases it shows the failing execution which IS NOT the latest execution (because the latest execution is passing) so the latest is not being pulled into the list of executions tied to the defect. To make things more odd, there is another test case that appears to be linked the same exact way as the other test case, it has two executions, one passing one failing (the failure was first then the pass) but it shows the passing execution instead of the failing execution. So we're trying to understand why this is happening? The reason I mentioned the tracelink table is because I also do the Data & Analytics for Jira / Zephyr using PowerBI and when I originally went to build out the data model this portion was very confusing since there are tables that seem like they should handle these relationships but they're completely blank and never written into. The tables are called: ISSUE_TO_TEST_CASE & ISSUE_TO_TEST_RESULT and they have 0 entries in all 3 of our environments. The only table that handles these relationships seem to be TRACE_LINK, but I don't know how the relationships are updated, maintained, etc. so that's part of this question. Here are some screenshots to better illustrate what I'm talking about above.
