How to add multiple Components to test cases in Zephyr Scale?
We are trying to assign more than one Component to a Test Case but have not found a way to do so. This is using the Components list from Jira but the behavior in Zephyr is contrary to how we are able to use Components in Jira. If there is a way to do this or set an option to do so in Zephyr, please let me know.633Views3likes6CommentsHow to submit a feature request?
Hi! We love to hear what you have to say about Zephyr Scale, especially improvements that can make the app work better for you. That’s why we created a public area to collect these ideas and share our own with you. Click on this link to access the Zephyr Scale roadmap. We encourage you to vote, comment on existing ideas, or create new ones. Our product management team conducts regular reviews of ideas. The displayed ideas are those we identified as the most important and possible to develop. After you created a new idea, you won’t see it in the roadmap. The product team will review it and possibly map it with other existing ideas. We consider every idea you send to us. First, we consolidate them internally. Then we include them on the roadmap if we find they have potential. Thank you! The Zephyr product team664Views2likes0CommentsEmail notification when I assign test cases to my team
I need team members to get an email notification when test cases are assigned (or re-assigned) to them for execution. I know it isn't a feature currently in Zephyr Scale, but it is a feature I desperately need. This is particularly important as we ran several UATs across the year, involving several people in distributed location. The most efficient way to assign a test to the is for the action to trigger an email notification This is a feature that SmartBear needs to look into, because a lot of competitor applications can do it. My teams have recently moved to Zephyr Scale, from Azure DevOps, where such a feature was available.443Views2likes1CommentHow to Generate a Summary Report for Multiple Test Cycles Without Duplicating Cases
Hello, We are currently migrating our testing tool from TestLink to Zephyr Scale, but I've encountered a problem with generating our follow-up reports. In TestLink, we used to create reports where we displayed the results of the last version's executions along with the cumulative total of all versions tested. Here’s the scenario: I have a Test Plan with 20 test cases, and there are two test cycles (builds) associated with it. In the first cycle, all test cases were executed, with 10 passing and 10 failing. In the second cycle, we only had time to re-execute the 10 failed cases, which now pass. When generating a summary report in TestLink, I could select both builds, and the graph would display that there are 20 test cases, with all of them passing (10 from the first build and 10 from the second). However, in Zephyr Scale, if I select both test cycles, the report shows 40 test cases (duplicating the test cases), which is not the result I want. I would like Zephyr Scale to behave like TestLink, showing a total of 20 test cases without duplicating the executions. Is there a way to generate the summary report in Zephyr Scale without summing up the test cases from both test cycles? Hi all Is it possible to restrict users from executing Test cases outside Test cycle , we want to limit Test execution within Test cycle only . Please share any knowledge , hopefully there is a solution other than asking users :). When Test cases are executed within Test cycle it's allows for better report results > What are your thoughts Thanks in advance for your kind help - Let me pre-empt an answer cheekily "no there is no such options available but if you add it as a suggestion someone at Smart Bear may pick it up at some point in the future :) "61Views1like10CommentsQuestions on Zephyr Scale
Can we make the Test case fields mandatory like Precondition, Folder, Priority, Component, Coverage, Owner, Steps, Action, Expected Results? Can we remove the fields like Objective, Labels and Estimated Time? Where do we have standard field for tracking Test type (Manual)? Can we remove Test Script from Test steps?63Views1like2CommentsLinkable directory with its content
Hello everyone, It's been several years of this feature being absent and I just don't understand why as it brings such a big inconvenience to users, especially when you need to share a bulk of test cases with other colleagues. Situation: GIVEN a user of some 2+ development team WHEN the user wants to share some bulk of specific test cases in a particular top- or sub-directory in order to show new OR updated multiple test cases for existing OR new functionality with other team members THEN the user can simply open or select the desired directory in the drop-down OR with the help of the clipboard icon, and copy a static link to this folder/directory which will bring other users who received this link to this specific folder/directory with the list of test cases inside in order to quickly see updated or save it to JIRA tasks as a reference to the location of test cases that require the update or other work on it. Current result: Currently, there is no such function. When trying to copy the browser URL and open it on another machine as another JIRA user I get brought to the general "All test cases" page. When I copy and open this URL within my JIRA user / Browser it opens the desired directory but unfortunately, it is useless. Can we do something here? We've been your customers for years and already requested this feature in the past but no progress was made toward this request. I hope we can still receive it and I'm requesting it for the last time as it has already become vital for us to have this feature for upcoming workflow, otherwise, we will not be able to use it anymore. Thanks!452Views1like2CommentsIs it possible to prepend text in existing fields using Bulk Edit?
Greetings, I'd like to be able to add some text at the beginning of the name field for a large set of test cases.. Can this be done in Bulk Edit using a regex of some kind? Is there a different method? I'd prefer not to export into .csv, modify, and import if at all possible.. Hoping there's a 'built-in' way. As an example, I'd like all of my selected test cases to have the name field start with "Terminal 1 - ", but also retain the rest of the current name field. Thanks for any recommendations.Solved369Views1like2CommentsReport with issues calculating
Hello, I have few questions related to the reports creation as far as the UI of reports page is changed. 1. The documentation shows that there should be 17 types of reports related to issues, while in current version I didn't find them. Could you please clarify maybe look into the wrong place? https://support.smartbear.com/zephyr-scale-server/docs/reports/overview.html#_issue_reports 2. I have created the "Test execution scorecard by test cycle" report. A lot of my TCs were failed by the same issue, but the report displays the number of issues = number of failed test cases. So if 5 of my TC failed with the same issue I see 5 issues in report. Is that expected? Thanks in advance for help276Views1like3Comments
