Disable auto-timeout
We have a requirement for some performance-type testing which uses a large amount of data in a Desktop product. Essentially, we have a DevExpress grid which can have, for example, a million records + of financial data. Changing views on this data can take some time, i.e. more than the 1000000ms [16m40s] maximum that can be set for auto-timeout Is there a way that this can be disabled?123Views0likes1CommentNative integration with TestComplete
We have recently started to use Zephyr Cloud, and was wondering if there is a plan to add integration into TestComplete. I did see a post suggesting this was happening, but the post was from about a year ago. We could use the API, but if this is something that is coming in the near future we can wait.Solved532Views0likes1CommentClipboard checkpoint anomaly
I am having a problem using the Clipboard checkpoint. I have tried both the Equals to and Contains options. The textCashbook (14 items) has been copied to the clipboard. When I try to create a checkpoint as below, this fails. function test() { if(aqString.StrMatches("Cashbook (14 items)", NameMapping.Sys.Clipboard) == true) Log.Checkpoint("The clipboard checkpoint succeeded."); else Log.Error("Clipboard checkpoint failed"); } If I change "Cashbook (14 items)" to either "Cashbook" or "(14 items)", the checkpoint passes - it only fails with"Cashbook (14 items)" I tried escaping the brackets, but that doesn't work either (removed the brackets from both the test and the clipboard, and that's OK) NOTE: This is a subset of a much bigger clipboard, but this seems to be the problem area (there are a lot of other bracketed items in the real test)Solved545Views0likes2CommentsRe: Copy and paste data from Excel to application under test (javascript)
I am trying to replicate how our customers use our app. Typically they will receive data in an Excel spreadsheet and can either import this directly or can copy and paste some of the data. I have looked at Excel Object, but as I said in my original post I don't see how to copy a range of cells rather than an individual one.1.5KViews1like1CommentCopy and paste data from Excel to application under test (javascript)
My application under test is a desktop app for finance I need to copy a range of data from an xlsx file to the clipboard and then paste this into my app, i.e. I do not need to read the data into TestComplete e.g. in sheet2 of test.xlsx select and copy a2:j30 I can do this by opening Excel, selecting the data and then copying this into my app This is fine my dev setup, but in my Test environment the servers do not have Excel installed All the Excel examples I have seen seem to be for individual cells rather than a range of cells. The link below suggest using COM, but the sample is only for reading the data. https://support.smartbear.com/testcomplete/docs/testing-with/working-with-external-data-sources/excel/working-via-com.html Is what I am trying to do possible, and if so can anyone give some pointers?Solved1.6KViews0likes5Comments
