Using two browser tabs (pages)
Hello, I'm using Firefox (latest version) and TestComplete 14.61.294. My test consist of testing web objects on one main browser page which requires clicking on a preview link that opens another browser tab/page that displays a PDF document. I do have to validate that the page properly opens. I do this by using the Object Spy on the browser tab name (that's mapped) and assign the ObjectType property of a variable. When clicking back on the main browser page to perform an operation on another control, an error is reported saying that the mapped object doesn't exist. This apply to any objects on the main browser page. I can only assume that the focus is lost on the main browser page after performing an operation on the second browser page. I've gone through some of the online documentation to find clues on how to get the focus back but nothing conclusive. Can anyone assist on this? Really appreciate it. Thanks in advance. -al-1.3KViews0likes0CommentsTwo controls with the same path and mapped names after mapping an object
Hello, I have two web controls that gets assigned the same mapped name with the same paths when mapping only one of the objects. When played back, the wrong control gets clicked on. Not for sure how that possible... perhaps an anomaly within TestComplete. At any rate, is there a workaround for this? Perhaps updating/renaming the object that I want to click on? Or changing its properties. If so, what method is used to do so. I've tried deleting the mapped name in the NameMapping tree and remapping with no success. Hello, I used the Object Spy tool capture and bring in an object in my code. After mapping it, the full mapped name is: "Aliases.browser.KtxLoginForm.tableTable2.cell4". I then assigned it to an object variable to be used further down in the code: var ReadObjData = Aliases.browser.KtxLoginForm.tableTable2.cell4; In the Object Spy Properties or "Debug Watch" on the object variable, the ContentText for the object is KT0000000799. Is there a build in method that can read the ContentText value or even the innerText value from the object? If so please provide an example. Or just an example of how to retrieve the ContentText/innerText values. Code: JScript Really appreciate it. Thanks in advance. -AlSolved1.5KViews0likes2Comments- 1.2KViews0likes0Comments
