Re: Is there a way to see if a text is trimmed?
Hi. Thank you for your swift response. I imagined I could do it that way, but scanning through the text object properties, I would expect to use the Text property or perhaps the WPFControlText property in order to "grab" string value and I was hoping the ellipses (...) would be included in those properties, but sadly that's not the case. In every text property, I get the entire string and not the trimmed string so it's been confusing on how to test against that. I do have a TextTrimmingproperty but it just states what type of trimming is used and not if that text is actually trimmed.1.1KViews0likes1CommentIs there a way to see if a text is trimmed?
I'm working on a test looking to check if the text shown is trimmed. Essentially say you have a text that says "Hello World! This is a small world!", based on the width allowed in that window the user will only see "Hello World! This is..." and I'm trying to check for that, but I don't see any properties for that or any possible functions. Thank you.1.1KViews0likes3CommentsTestComplete unable to execute
Hello, I recently ran into an issue with running tests on TestComplete and TestExecute. When I try to run a script from current routine or run the project suite, the test immediately completes and there log is empty. I added a breakpoint and when the test is run, the breakpoint is essentially ignored. It appears that TestComplete is simply failing to exeute my script. I know the test itself is being run as the log title includes it, but I receive no message so it's difficult to pinpoint the issue. I did change the uiaccess to false earlier and was trying to execute it through powershell, but I can't imagine that being the reason why. Any reccomendation is much appreciated. Thank you.Solved1KViews0likes1CommentRe: Running TestComplete on Jenkins through Command Line
Since the test hangs once trying to execute it through command line, I have to abort it and do not receive and logs from the Jenkins job, so I'm sorry I can't provide that. I assumed it was because of the user session, but I assumed using the batch command would work since I am essentially running the exact same commands, minus the TestService portion which I show above and which I have tried, but still fails to work. Also, the project uses command line as it's a Python script determining which projects to run based on tags.2.9KViews0likes1CommentRe: Running TestComplete on Jenkins through Command Line
Hi, I did create and use batch commands and all the commands work until I reach the point where TestComplete or TestExecute has to run. I've checked and it works fine on that VM, so I'm still lost why the test hangs when trying to execute TestExecute or TestComplete from the Jenkins Windows Batch Command.3KViews0likes3CommentsRunning TestComplete on Jenkins through Command Line
Hello, I'm having an issue trying to execute a TestComplete suite on Jenkins through a Windows Batch Command build. However, when simply running only the TestComplete or TestExecute execution files, Jenkins hangs once it reaches that point and never finishes and I have to end up aborting the test all together. I understand that there is a TestComplete plugin and it is available to me and the suite works perfectly fine with that plugin, but the purpose of my project requires an execution through command line. I have also tried running the long and extensive command line argument: ("C:\Program Files (x86)\SmartBear\TestExecute 12\bin\TestCompleteService12.exe" //LogonAndExecute //lDomain: "" //lName: "jenkins" //lPassword: ******** //lTimeout: "-1"....) and that also fails to work. I have verified the service is running on that slave machine and that the license server is available. Thank you.3KViews0likes5Comments
