If this error occurs when clicking "play" manually, it is likely an application issue and you should raise internally. If it's happening only when the test runs in TestComplete but not manually, then what is displayed in the test log? Hopefully you should see some indication of why the error is occurring. Check the Additional Info tab for more detailed information. Hope this helps. Thanks, Jenny Re: Setting the system date to Today + 2 Thank you Alex! I'm glad I was on the right track! :) Re: Test Report - Total no. of Test cases count That sounds a little strange to me. 1 + 3 = 4 so why it is saying 5 is curious. Could it be something to do with the single test item in Folder 1 being shared from another project? As I notice "CreateDeal-Suite" is the name of the group? Maybe in "Create Deal" test item there is more than one. Just a thought. Or could it be counting one of the folders aswell mistakenly? I'm also interested in what kind of issues it is causing. Obviously, it's giving an inaccurate report of the number of test items run (which is bad of course), is there anything else? Setting the system date to Today + 2 Hi I am trying to work out how to change the system date based on todays date to the date in 2 days time. I need it to be dynamic as the rest of the dates in the test are dynamic. I realise that this might complicate it as it will need to calculate based on number of days in month etc. Is there a way to implement this in a keyword test? So far I've read a lot of information regarding how to implement but only in Scripts. I'm wondering if I am missing something obvious in the more familar (to me) kwtests. The best I've come up with is to use Run Code Snippet operation and the code:aqDateTime.SetSystemDateTime(aqDateTime.AddDays.Today(), 1). Whilst it saved OK, it did not change the system date. I'm probably doing it quite wrong and would appreciate any advice. Many thanks, Jenny ps - main article read so far: https://support.smartbear.com/testcomplete/docs/scripting/working-with/dates/vbscript.html#Tomorrow SolvedRe: Error on trying to run property checkpoint on an object in kwtests Thank youtristaanogre! I have resolved this issue now following your advice. Thanks so much! :) Error on trying to run property checkpoint on an object in kwtests Hi I'm getting an error when a kwtest is checking a property of an object. The error is "You are trying to call the "cell" method or property of the following name mapping object:..." - see attached for full detail. I've had a read of this link (https://support.smartbear.com/testcomplete/docs/reference/test-objects/members/common-for-all/getunderlyingobject-method.html) ....and have followed the detail in the remark etc but it's still not finding the object. As the article only gives detail on resolving in a script I've used my own knowledge and thinking on how to resolve in a kwtest. I've tried using Call Object Method to obtain the reference to the underlying test object - see attached for screenshot of howI'veimplemented it. When I run the Call Object Method on that object (....tableGridswapsmasterDxmaintable.cell) I get "Invalid number of arguments" and the same detail in Additional Info. It's like I'm missing something... What am I doing something wrong? Any advice is much appreciated, thanks! Jenny SolvedRe: Object errors on run in newly created projectsuite with keywordtests shared from other suite That is a good question.. One I would like to ask my predecessors who created the projects! It certainly was not my choice. Part of my plan is to move all tests into new projects which use Python so that I can write "scripts" rather than use keyword tests. Step one.... clean up the objects..... and so on... I've already had some assistance direct from SmartBear so am assured I'm on the right path, it's just a matter of time. Thanks for your help again! Re: Object errors on run in newly created projectsuite with keywordtests shared from other suite Hi tristaanogre! You're a star! I think you've hit the nail on the head. Each project uses a different coding language, oneVBScript, the other Python. So, I have my answer. If I want to share between projects use the same coding language as the project I'm sharing the test from and this issue shouldn't occur. I am successfully sharing one test from a VBScript project to a DelphiScript project currently and apart from an object mismatch between the two projects have not seen any issues. Perhaps the issue is specifically with conversion between VBScript to Python? Just a thought. Thanks for your help tristaanogre! Re: Object errors on run in newly created projectsuite with keywordtests shared from other suite Thanks for your reply Marsha_R. I couldn't find a way to resolve this issue quickly so I had to revert back to using the existing project for what I wanted to do. It was a bit of a pain but not major. I did have a side effect issue caused by sharing the test with the other project suite which I am more concerned about. When I tried to run the test I had shared from it's parent project it would not run for the same reason. When I looked closer the Value had changed and now included odd full stops where it didn't before. For example, aqConvert.DateTimeToFormatStr(aqDateTime.AddDays(aqDateTime.Today, 1), "%d%m%Y") became something like aqConvert.DateTimeToFormatStr.(aqDateTime.AddDays(aqDateTime.Today,. 1),. "%d%m%Y") So, basically, by sharing the test with another project I had inadvertantly broken the test! To resolve I had to manually amend and take out the random full stops, thankfully I hadn't shared many. Any idea why this happened? I would like to share tests between projects and project suites, so I would be interested to know so that I can make sure this doesn't occur. Many thanks, Jenny Object errors on run in newly created projectsuite with keywordtests shared from other suite Hi I have created a new project suite this morning and have added the items I need from another suite including the specific keyword tests I need, testedapps, stores, namemapping. It seems to run OK but for certain objects giving the following error: "Unable to evaluate the operation's "Object" parameter. Error: RuntimeError: The specified object is not callable" When Icheck the name mapping to see if the object exists, it does. It also highlights the object on screen when asked. Also, if I say 'Edit Checkpoint Data' from the Keyword test in the editor workspace it takes me to the region checkpoint image in Regions, so the image does exist in this project. All seems present and correctfrom these checks but is there something else I'm missing? All help appreciated as always! Thanks Jenny Solved
