Re: Upgraded from 14.0 to 14.1 broke all my tests and it will not complete a new simple test recording
Update: I decided to drop the resolution to 2k and set Windows DPI to 100% Then I decided to set the resolution BACK to 4k and leave the windows DPI to 100% Both times the tests ran to completion. So there is a setting somewhere that changes how tests run with windows DPI set to something other than 100%?3KViews0likes3CommentsRe: Upgraded from 14.0 to 14.1 broke all my tests and it will not complete a new simple test recording
I've attached the test log. At 11:03:15 the "Log in to Live Earth button" is pressed, except I had to manually click it because the mouse position for the click was off by 100 pixels or so. See the attached JPG At 11:03:18 the Login window is clicked to activate the email entry field, but as you can see the mouse pointer is over the "Password" text box and way to the right of it (red arrow) At 11:03:27 it's supposed to click the "logon" button but for some reason it thinks the button is hidden. Both the coordinates and dimensions for all the buttons are accurate. As well as the center points for these butons3KViews0likes4CommentsUpgraded from 14.0 to 14.1 broke all my tests and it will not complete a new simple test recording
Actually the version is 14.10.1042.7 Executed the detected upgrade today which resulted in the above version installed. None of my tests get past the first button click. It tinks the button is located elsewhere (usually something overlapping it) When I use NameMapping screen to chose a control and "Highlight" it it works fine and the image matches what it's highlighting. When I use Object browser to highlight the same object, it "usually" works, but all the images from the image pane are completely wrong. All the way to the root object. It's as if it's only using a portion of the screen, or something with windows scaling is off. How do i revert to the previous version so i can run/build my tests again?Solved3.1KViews0likes9CommentsRe: Jenkins execution--> The requested operation requires elevation
For added info since I just had to go through this again after a Jenkins Update. Some of the steps in the link above include outdated features in Jenkins. Did you ever find a solution? This sounds familiar to my issue... https://community.smartbear.com/t5/TestComplete-General-Discussions/RPC-Server-Unavailable-Error-only-when-running-tests-together/m-p/180164#M338391KViews0likes0CommentsRe: RPC Server Unavailable Error - only when running tests together
TestComplete is running on the same machine as TestedApp, so how can it be a firewall thing or related to networking? This has to do with the TestedApp closing, and then re-opening, and loosing all the object mappings.3KViews0likes7CommentsRPC Server Unavailable Error - only when running tests together
I have a bunch of tests set up in TestComplete to test a Windows application. When I run them all at once, I consistently get an RPC Server Unavailable Error. When I run the tests individually, there is no issue with the scripts. I have tried running them in a script, calling them from a keyword test, and just using the project set up to call them all in order. No dice. Running each test manually completely defeats the purpose of automation. For each test the TestedApp is open then closed. The error always appears right after the open of the second test when I try activate a UI element.3KViews0likes9CommentsRe: when closing My Application under test, TestComplete errors out with Application.exe process crashed
Maybe it is actually Crashing... The second time I ran it I got the same message: The Live Earth.exe process crashed. But I'm getting no other indication that the executable is crashing, it's shutting down like normal and when I start it up again the things I changed are saved.1.8KViews0likes1Comment
