Testcomplete and DevExpress WPF Grid: invalid number of columns.
Hello, I think this one it's a touchy one ... I've got a WPF application withaDevExpress WPF grid (DevExpress.Xpf.Grid.GridControl) 17.1 . (I saw a similary post with a DevExpress WPF grid 15.1 on your forum but without solution, I think I have more clues for this, so I create this post) - There are 12 columns visibles on the grid - The wColumnCount testComplete property said 35 columns ... OK I thought perhaps it were invisibles columns...but if I look on the internal devExpress grid.columns collection, there are 12 columns and all the columns are visible. (grid.columns.count) I talked with the developpers and they explained me: - the grid itemsSource is mapped to an objet with a lot of properties: 35 . - each column of the grid is mapped with one property of the object, but not all the object's properties are mapped on the grid: only 12 properties are mapped on 12 columns. For some unknown reasons, testcomplete returns the count of properties of the object mapped, and not the real number of column. And if two properties have the same label (displayText), there will be two wColumns with the same label even if no properties are mapped to a column of the grid! Thanks for any clue! Hello ! I use the last version of testComplete 12.5 on windows 10 I would like to know if is it possible to catch a testComplete error. Not a script exception, but an error thrown by a testComplete function of an object like grid.clickCell . (error like "column is not visible) My main objective is to know that an error has happened but i don't want a log error in the testLog. Grid.clickCell(1,colonne index) -->Error testComplete--> OnLogError-->Error in the log--> the test is failed in the test log : but for me it's not critical, I don't want my test written failed for that. I tried to use the onLogError event to catch it: it works but it's too late, a line is writen in the log. If i do a log.enabled=false before the clickCell, the event OnLogError is not fired. I tried log.lockEvent but without success, a log error is added. (i've got a good reason for that, i have to deal with a devExpress WPF grid bug) Thanks for your help, Regards, Christophe ISolved1.4KViews0likes4CommentsTestComplete 12 and Visual Studio 2017 Integration: tests explorer empty
Hello! I use TestComplete 12 and Visual Studio 2017 with TFS 2013. I wrote Tests with TestComplete IDE, then I create a Visual Studio Project and I add the TestComplete Tests with the smartbear add-in. Everything worked fine: I could launch testcomplete Tests with Visual Studio, I could launch testcomplete tests with MTM (Microsoft Test Manager) and TestExecute on a remote PC. but... my hard disk has crashed... So I reinstalled all the products: - testcomplete - visual studio 2017 - testcomplete integration in visual studio When I open my project in Visual Studio, I can see the TestComplete add-in and my project looks OK. But the window Test Explorer (Explorateur de test in french) is always empty. Before my crash, I had the list of all my tests and i could launch them. So I can't lauch TestComplete tests from Visual Studio. I try to reinstall Visual Studio, TestComplete, TestComplete integration...but nothings work. Do you have some tips for me ? Thank you , Regards Christophe1.1KViews0likes1CommentRe: TestComplete integration with TFS Source Control 2013
first, Thanks you for your help! ok it was a mess on my PC....I try with a new one: - I map in TFS a newfolder, test2, in c:\test2 -I create a testcomplete project in c:\test2 I add the project to TFSwith testcomplete:I choose my folder test2 from TFS: - Nothing changes in testcomplete - In TFS the project is added, but not checkin ...so ...I think I'm going to use the MSSCCI driver for the moment, I can't spend to much time with this stuff because I have to test the testComplete Visual Studio and TestManager Integration But If you have any idea ... - Yes, the project was saved once. - All my disk are local disks. As you can see on the picture, the .mds is here, in TFS code source. When I close and open my testcomplete project again nothing changes, no icon in project explorer and all the control source menu items are grayed except "Add to control source". No check in or check out shortcut. IfI use MSSCI,I can see the icons, andI have all the item in the menu. Something is wrong, perhaps a right in TFS for testcomplete ? I have no idea.4KViews0likes4CommentsRe: TestComplete integration with TFS Source Control 2013
OK, I put some pictures: pic1 to pic4 : my process pic5: after the second pop up, this is my project explorer, without icons pic6: the project was added to TFS but not checks in. It works if i use MSSCI drivers , but this method seems to be deprecated .4.1KViews0likes7CommentsRe: TestComplete integration with TFS Source Control 2013
Thanks for your reply, WhenI add my project to TFS from testcomplete,I have 2 pop-ups: - one to choose the server TFS - one to choose the project TFS After validating the last pop up (project TFS) nothing happens. The pop up disapears and my project explorer doesn't change. IfI look to TFS control source from Visual studio,I can see that the testcomplete project was added, but not check in . (+ icon next to the file). When i do the same process with the MSCCI driver in TestComplete, after the second pop up,I have a "check in" pop up, and after I have icons next to my file in the project explorer to show the check out state. It seems that Something goes wrong with the "check in" pop up with the Visual Studio plugin,I try many times, but without success.4.1KViews0likes9CommentsTestComplete integration with TFS Source Control 2013
Hello, I'm trying TestComplete 12 (trial version) . I would like to try the TFS Integration, and specially the source control integration with TFS 2013. I have Visual Studio 2015 on my PC, and testComplete 12. In the tools Options, i choose "Team Foundation Version Control Plugin", and "Microsoft Visual Studio 2015" as TFVC client. I have mapped a workspace. I think i have done all the pre requisite. When i add a project to TFS via "source control" menu, TestComplete let me choose a TFS server, then a TFS Project via pop up: OK, no error .... But after nothing happens in testComplete: all the item in the source menu like checkin/Check out are grayed. I haven't see a checkin pop up. If I look in TFS Source control, i can see the testComplete Project added, but no check in from testComplete. -->There is no link from tfs source control with my testcomplete project. I try the second option, with MSSCCI provider, and it works, I can see the link with TFS ... Any clue ? Regards, Christophe4.4KViews0likes11Comments
