VS TestAgent - Degraded from 2015 to 2013
Hello, Today the smartbear blog is updated under the link (https://support.smartbear.com/viewarticle/87375/) in that it states that "Test Agent for Visual Studio 2015 does not support running tests in lab environments. To run tests in lab environments by using Test Manager, use test controllers for Visual Studio 2013. You can find more information about it in the MSDN Library." Question: Is there any specific reason why the test agent is downgraded from 2015 to 2013. Reason being to understand the complications in future if the project moves from 2013 to 2015. Link (https://support.smartbear.com/viewarticle/87375/) has been newly updated today and it states that: "TestComplete 12 Visual Studio Integration Package. The Integration Package installer is shipped along with TestComplete. You can find it in the TestComplete folder after installing the product: <TestComplete 12>\VS Integration\VSIntegration.exe". But unable to find the "vsintegration.exe" under test complete 12 folder. Question: should the user download the testcomplete 12 patch to see this as part of it? Thanks Trista, let me try that now and see Thanks Trista, I understood the point number 1, in point number 2 you stated that "(.PJS file) that contains the tests you want to run. This will then give you the list of tests in the project that you can then check/uncheck as desired." I don't see the items associated with .pjs file. In other words user has created 8 test scripts in test complete (.tcKDTest) should it display here? i believe it should as per your comments. If this happens then i see that it can be linked with manual test case. The issue on hand is it's not displaying the test scripts associated to the .pjs file. Hello, Project wants to utilize this feature "Running TestComplete Tests as Part of a Test Plan" (TFS 2015<>VS 2015 community<>TC 12) Followed the instructions mentioned below: https://support.smartbear.com/viewarticle/82468/ But unable to see the list of test cases that were created in test complete(.tcKDTest). It's throwing all test cases created with extension (.tc12Test) under "Associate automation" which is described under "Associating a Test Project With a Test Case" in the tutorial. Unable to connect to TFS from Test complete thru connection manager. TFS 2015, TC - 11.31.2420.7. But i was able to connect to check in and check out from TFS. Error message "The following errors occurred while connecting to the specified server: Unable to initialize the Team System engine.
