Why am I receiving automation test run result emails when I don't have any tests scheduled?
Way back in the day, I set some tests to run at midnight. Oddly enough, when I did have them scheduled to run, I didn't receive emails of their results. Now, over a year later, I have been receiving "Automation Test Run Results" emails. I removed the scheduled runs a long time ago, so this is really weird. Does anyone have a solution to get these emails to stop? Thanks,1.3KViews0likes1CommentExporting Scripts to QAComplete - Do you have to export every time a change is made?
We recently learned about exporting our scripts to QAComplete directly from TestComplete. We have been successful in exporting the initial script to our projects in QAComplete, but when the script is updated, the test in QAComplete does not reflect the changes (runs the original exported script). Shouldn't QAComplete be reading from a path like it does when adding a script manually through QAComplete? This way it should always get the latest changes? Are we missing something or do we need to go back to the manual way of adding automation tests through QAComplete if we want to pick up the latest changes? We have a POST method that has one parameter and is being implemented as HTTP. According to the dev, if there is only one parameter for the call, it HAS to be nameless. How do I get this to work with SOAPUI? When I make the request, I have to add a space for the parameter name, give it a value, then remove the space from the parameter name. It works fine as long as I don't close the project. If I close the project, the parameter gets removed and I have to recreate it every time. This creates an automation problem when I go to run the tests over night or throughout the day on our VMs. Any help on how to make SOAPUI keep the nameless parameter? (Adding another parameter is not in the cards.) Thanks, Justin8 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions585Views0likes0Comments- 1.7KViews0likes0Comments
QAComplete URI Path for Automation
I started a new API project within Ready API and when I try and link my tests in QAComplete for automated runs, I can't get the Url, UNC or local path to be correct. It sure looks correct to me. I've made sure there are no extra spaces, typos, and all the slashes are correct. I even used the "Learn about these parameters" link to verify. Can anyone help? REST requests erroring out
RequestI am trying to test simple REST requests, but ReadyAPI doesn't seem to like me. Here's what I know: 1) The request works just fine in Fiddler 4 2) ReadyAPI errors with: Request 1: Cancelled a request due to invalid content 3) Request in Ready APISolved8 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions2.8KViews0likes5CommentsRe: Chrome opens no matter what
My problem was a script file I created called "GlobalVariables" that had a run Chrome command...apparently, no matter what SCRIPT you are trying to run, TestComplete will compile ALL entities within a project. This seems stupid to me, but I'm no expert. IMO, TestComplete should only compile what is referenced I.E. 'USEUNIT [File Name].1.4KViews1like1CommentChrome opens no matter what
Anyone, Why is Chrome opening when I run my scripts? For the simplest scripts, it still opens. For example: Sub test() Browsers.Item("iexplore").Run() End Sub Or Sub test() Browsers.Item(btIExplorer).Run() End Sub So on and so forth. Is there a system setting on my computer that somehow got enabled? Does TestComplete 11.31 have a bug that is doing this? Is it a Project setting I'm missing? Project Suite setting? I'm losing my mind, here.Solved1.4KViews0likes3CommentsChange fields required in TestComplete when Posting Defects to QAComplete
I am just starting my evaluations for QAComplete and TestComplete and I am trying to see how to automatically send defects from TestComplete to my QAComplete project when there are required fields in QAComplete. (I searched the forums and documentation, but was unlucky in finding this scenario.) The situation I am running into is the project has specific fields in QAComplete that are required for defect submission. In TestComplete, The only fields that show are "Title", "Status", "Folder", etc. How can I get TestComplete to read what fields are required in QAComplete so we can quickly submit defects through TestComplete to QAComplete? Please see the attached files for reference. Thanks,Solved1.4KViews0likes1Comment
