Exporting Scripts to QAComplete - Do you have to export every time a change is made?

We recently learned about exporting our scripts to QAComplete directly from TestComplete. We have been successful in exporting the initial script to our projects in QAComplete, but when the script is updated, the test in QAComplete does not reflect the changes (runs the original exported script). 

Shouldn't QAComplete be reading from a path like it does when adding a script manually through QAComplete? This way it should always get the latest changes?

Are we missing something or do we need to go back to the manual way of adding automation tests through QAComplete if we want to pick up the latest changes?
