Re: Cannot access onscreen objects in Silverlight 4
hello, seems that now it works (but i am sure there is better solution) it seems that i need to go and catch element as in tree in object browser (Hierarchal) var item = pg.Find("idstr", "silverlightControlHost", 10); //catch object 0 item = item.Object(0); // then catch the main page: item = item.SlObject("MainPage", "", 0); //then catch the button (the button is direct child for main page) item= item.SlObject("btnName"); item.Click(); However, this is not practical at all!! i need to access the objects directly, how? thanks! hello, I downloaded TestComplate 8.5 tial edition, and currently testing how to automate silverlight tests. when i record the test, it does not run again successfully. it breaks when it tries to find onscreen objects! i donno if i am missing something but here is what i did: i made sure that the IE is using latest silverlight version i made the xap file open using the tcagPacher utility, and copies it back on web server i clear the cache before start testing i even tried to write my own test script: //suppose that pg is the page that has silverlight object // the whole silverlight app under test is a simple page with 2 buttons! var item = pg.Find("idstr", "silverlightControlHost", 10); var obj = item.SlObject("btnName"); // <==it breaks here, cannot find object! Help Please! thanks, Samer7.1KViews0likes3CommentsLoad Testing Environment
hello, I am new to load testing using TestComplete. Before i start testing , i want to be sure about my environment. So we are at the final stages of our development, and we deployed our web application on our client server so that we can load test it with real hardware environment. so can i load test it from my machine, which is at development company LAN? or the machine which will load test the application should be on same LAN as the hosting server? our development LAN has a 5 Mb internet speed, and i want to load test the application to simulate 100 concurrent users, is that ok since i am not on same LAN? or it does not matter? what i mean is, even though we have 5 mb speed, but still TestComplete can simulate 100 virtual users against target server through internet? hello, Currently we are using testcomplete to do functional testing for our ASP.NET, database dirven application. i record the test using "record script" option, and it works fine with me. However, sometimes when i run the test, i get the error that testcomplete cannot find certain object (element)!! and when i re-run the same test, it finds it (sometimes). i don't know why this happens, when i make recording , it goes very well, but later on, when i run the test, it does not find objects(object does not exist), even though it is there. i tried looking in the help, but i got lost with the so many options. i donno from where to start!
