How to determine if an HTML table cell contains a textbox?
Greetings, I have the following script that loops through an HTML table and saves out the contents of the cells to a .txt file. I would like to modify this script to ONLY print out to the file if the cell contains a textbox: for (var i = 0; i < table.rows.length; i++) { aqFile.WriteToTextFile(fileName, Chr(13) + chr(10) + "Row " + i + Chr(13) + chr(10), aqFile.ctUTF8); for (var j = 0; j < table.rows.item(i).cells.length; j++) { aqFile.WriteToTextFile(fileName, "Cell " + j + ": " + table.rows.item(i).cells.item(j).innerText + Chr(13) + chr(10), aqFile.ctUTF8); } } Suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!1KViews0likes2CommentsRe: Suddenly cannot spy any browser elements beyond window
The issue has happened since I upgraded to 12. 12 was working then suddenly stopped. Ryan, I thought that too but EVERY browser stopped working at the same time. I also went to download the FF 48 patch from SmartBear and applied it but no luck.2.7KViews0likes1Comment- 2.7KViews0likes4Comments
Suddenly cannot spy any browser elements beyond window
Greetings, Up until today, I have been able to use TestComplete to test our (web) application. Suddenly, however, I am not able to spy any objects contained on pages, only the container "Window". This happens in Firefox 48, Edge, IE & Chrome. I also tested other sites like google.com and it is still only spying the window. Up until lunch time today all were working fine. I have tried closing testcomplete as well as restarting my computer, but the issue still persists. Any suggestions on how I can start spying my page objects again? If I go to the NameMapping editor and select a control, then tell it to highlight on screen the control is highlighted, I just cannot select it with the Object Spy tool.Solved2.8KViews0likes6CommentsTestComplete unable to click buttons/links in Edge browser
Greetings, I am currently evaluating TestComplete, and have used some script to iterate through all my browsers for a couple of tests I wrote. Chrome, FF, IE all work fine, but when it comes to Edge, it clicks the page, but it appears to click just above all of the controls. My version is 11.31.2420.7. I have done the following: Made sure zoom is 100% Made sure the Test app store checkbox is checked Installation folder was correct Everything seems to be fine, but it just will not click on the correct location. Please see attached.Solved2.8KViews0likes3CommentsStop testcomplete from unchecking test items under a group
I am having an issue I would like to have corrected in an upcoming release. Say for instance I have my test items in a group: Start Program - Launch Exe - Select database - Login Now, ifI uncheck the checkbox for "Start Program" folder/group it disables the items underneath. This is fine, however, I check the folder/group checkbox again to enable it, the test items underneath the folder/group are now unchecked. I would think that if I enable the folder/group that the test items underneath would be enabled.2.3KViews0likes1CommentNew user: newbie question about tracking time through an application
Hello, We have a .Net application (Managed code) that I am attempting to profile. What I think I am finding is a couple of issues (in my eyes) that I would like to see if there is a way around, both having to do with timing the application. It seems that the "Get Results" also takes into account idle time when the application is not doing anything. For example I open a module in my application, and then I may go off somewhere and forget to get the results. When I finally do there is a pretty significant time for the "Main" module. Is there a way to only have it track when the application is active? 2nd question: So say I want to open Module 1, and then open Module 2, but I want them captured independently. It seems like even though I disable profiling between the opening of the modules, it takes into account the times and calls that were a part of opening Module 1? Is this the case? I am just trying to get a better handle on the product. Thanks for any assistance :)9 years agoPlace AQtime QuestionsAQtime Questions3.3KViews0likes1CommentWant to control the indicator during a test run
All, I would like to give visual cues to people viewing the automated testing progression of our software. What i would like to do is use the indicator to display the current running test item, as well as "x out of y" number of tests. I know that: Indicator["PushText"]() displays data on the indicator and PopText and Clear remove the current text in their own ways. I also know thatProject.TestItems.Currentgets the current TestItem and you can iterate through them all using Project.TestItems However, how do I do what I am wanting to do? I haven't been able to piece it together yet. So when the project is being ran, I would like the indicator to be updated with the current running test case and the current number out of the total. I am unsure how I would keep these items up without having to insert script in each of my units, which I would like to avoid. ThanksSolved2.1KViews0likes3Comments
