I am already working on this with on of your colleagues through a support case I opened few days ago. Thank you! Serge. Re: TestComplete service cannot be started Hi Alex, This did the job; It works fine now... Thanks! Serge. Re: Running a SQL job from TestComplete Great! Thank you Robert; I will look through these suggestions... Running a SQL job from TestComplete Hello, Can anyone tell me if there is a way to call and run a SQL job from TestComplete tests, key-wor or script? Thanks! Serge. Re: Keyword vs Scripting in Test Complete 12 Hi Robert, Thank you for your reply. I am not a complete stranger to code, it's just that the last time I wrote a program was in college, about 17-18 yrs ago, not counting SQL queries I frequently use today, of course. :) Our apps use C# predominantly (windows and web), which I can somewhat read and understand, but writing it from scratch is a whole different story :) Thanks!! Serge. Re: Keyword vs Scripting in Test Complete 12 Hi NisHera, Could you please briefly share your experience when transitioning from key-word to scripting with TC? Like yourself at the beginning, I am also all about key-word approach, but I'm curious to know how did you go about transitioning to scripting and learning to script with TC? Any pointers would be great! :) Thanks! Serge. Objects read as "Chrome_RenderWidgetHostHWND" Hello, I'm trying to figure out why would TC read some of my web app objects as "Chrome_RenderWidgetHostHWND", while other ones in the same application, and even the same search form it reads just fine. I have both desktop and web platform for TC, and my app is .Net/C# based. If you take a look at the attached screenshots, you will see that some controls are identified without any problems, while others within the same form are read only as "Chrome_RenderWidgetHostHWND". Also, please notice that those read with "Chrome_RenderWidgetHostHWND" are read from "Browser Window" as the root, while the ones read without any issues have the actual page being tested as the root "pageLpamsqaLnrpropertyComLoanSea" (this is a loan search page with multiple filters). I have also attached a screenshot from Object Browser. Thank you!! Serge. Re: TestComplete service cannot be started Hi Alex, Thank you for you reply. I was trying to avoid that step if possible, but if this is the best solution, I will reinstall it... :) If the issue continues to happen after reinstalling it, I will get back to you. Thanks! Serge. TestComplete service cannot be started Hello, Please let me know if anyone has experienced this issue after installing the latest TC version. Every time I try to open TC, services are not running. When I check errors in the server manager, it only says "Services TestComplete 12 Service cannot be started". I can't even start it manually. Rebooting the server also didn't help. Any ideas would be very helpful. Thanks! Serge.
