vNext test agent (TFS functional test) cannot find TestComplete test
Hi I have a build configured to run a functional tests from test plan. I have two tests in the plan: The tests are from a solution in Visual Studio: The unit test pass but the testcomplete test is not found and I get this error: ##[warning]DistributedTests: Error : One or more errors occurred.--->No test assemblies found on the test machine matching the source filter criteria or no tests discovered matching test filter criteria. Verify that test assemblies are present on the machine and test filter criteria is correct. The location I have spesified does contain the .tc12Test file. Have anyone any experience with this? Hi, Here are my two cents. TestComplete Turbo: I showed the names to my colleague, and he started laughing when he read Turbo. (A bit 80's perhaps):) TestComplete Unity: We both thought about the game engine Unity. Test Fusion: Does not work for me, it's kind of like the word robust that is overused. TestComplete Driver: I think of drivers when I hear this, not UI test scripting. I think that the only thing that does it for me is Test InCode. :) Will Distributed testing be supported in this version? I ask because we considered at using Coded UI, but it did not have the NameMapping capability. And most important the TestAgent system for running tests could not be used in our lab environment. The Distibuted test on the other hand worked like a charm. So I would be very interested in this new product, if the NetworkSuite can be used. Hi Tanya. Thanks for your answer. It was so simple that it did not occure to me to look there. I was looking into some scripting objects to do it. (Explains why I did not find anybody else looking for this when googeling:smileyvery-happy:) Regards Bjørn Kruuse-Meyer1.7KViews0likes0CommentsReboot remote computer while running distibuted test
Hi I have a project where I control several remote computers in a distributed test. One of the first steps is to install software, then reboot the computers. After this I want to continue running functional tests on the software I have installed. I have found the method aqEnvironment.RebootAndContinue() But this only continues the tests locally, and the Master does not see the computers anymore. How can I restart the remote computers and then continue running tests with distributed testing? Yours Bjørn Kruuse-MeyerSolved1.7KViews0likes2CommentsError message when closing TestComplete

Hi, I have a build using MS Build Controller/Agent that kicks off a test on another server using MS Test Controller and Test Agent. The test starts TestComplete on the Test Agent machine. But TestExecute does not start and I get this Test Run Error: "Unable to initialize TestExecute. Unable to connect to the product. The requested operation requires elevation. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x800702E4)" If I turn off EnableLUA Link. (The TestAgent is running on Windows Server 2012R2, 64bit) This is not a good solution.... Does anyone know how to fix this issue?Solved4.5KViews0likes3CommentsRe: Can't get OCR to do what I want
Now I feel a bit stupid.... I finaly manged to read the Using Optical Character Recognition - Tips on the support pages, where it said that it might help to disable font smoothing in Windows' settings. I did that, and behold: TestComplete found that 2 sec means 2 sec and not Z .;.796Views2likes0CommentsCan't get OCR to do what I want
Hi all, I have made this function: function GetNormalStartDelay(){ var normalStartObj = Aliases.WinACP600.dlgWinACP6001972.page32770.Edit; var normalStartPicture = normalStartObj.Picture(50,10,50,25); Log.Picture(normalStartPicture); var OcrObject = OCR.CreateObject(normalStartPicture); Log.Message(OcrObject.GetText()); } The picture I take looks like this: The text that is returned is: "Z .;" and not 2 sec. Any suggestions as to what I am doing wrong?8.2KViews0likes2Comments
