Re: Send test result via e-mail in subject
Hello, If you check: http://support.smartbear.com/viewarticle/56306 You will see the last section: When to Send Results If you run a single test, you can call a test command that sends test results directly from this test. If your run a project with several test items and you need to send the entire test log via e-mail, there is no need to call the appropriate method or command from each test item. You just need to call the desired method from the last test item. For example, you can create a special routine that will send test results and add it to the Test Items page as the last test item. I hope that helps. Alex3.3KViews1like0CommentsGet return code from a c# console application
Hello, I have written a small console application that, when it has completed successfully, returns 0 and when it fails return 1. I created a keyword test which runs the console application followed by a Set Variable Value "LastResult". The variable is an integer. The variable doesn't have the value that I'm returning, just the default value I set in TC. How can I get the variable to have the value returned from the console application. I was able to get the installer to come back to life by closing an errant TestExecute process in the task manager. This prompted the installer to show me a dialog with applications that needed to be closed for the installer to continue. I allowed it to close them automagically and the installation succeeded. Hello, I'm in the process of updating TestExecute from 10.3 to 10.4. I've downloaded and run the installer and it's currently hung during the "Validating Install" part of the installation. Is there anything I can do to make it complete successfully. Thanks.877Views0likes1CommentAutomated testing of Shortcuts
Hello, I have managed to get test complete to open my application and login successfully. I would now like to explore the best way of testing the shortcuts that my application provides. I've been using a Data Driven loop which uses the shortcuts I would like to test supplied by a CSV file. I use a "Keys" operation which reads in my variable. Here is a sample from my CSV file: shortcut, dialog [Alt]unsu, New Data Process Wizard Most shortcuts will spawn a dialog, I have provided the title of the dialog in the dialog column. Once the dialog has been launched I would like to log that it has worked and then return the application to before the dialog is show. What is the best way to test my applications shortcuts.
