Re: Trying to get a current date to enter into a field
Thanks for the help, I had stumbled upon the articles you mentioned just prior to you posting this. This is the result that we got working: Call SSCalendarMaskedEdit.Keys(aqConvert.DateTimeToFormatStr(aqDateTime.AddDays(aqDateTime.Now , -15), "%m%d%Y") & "[Tab]") Thanks again.1.9KViews0likes0CommentsTrying to get a current date to enter into a field
Here is the originally generated vb script: Call SSCalendarMaskedEdit.Keys("03152011[Tab]") And we are attempting to place a current date into the field minus a set number of days and all of our current attempts to seems to cause errors and I'm unsure what were putting in wrong. To clarify Current Date Minus say 15 days (Ex. 10/30/2011 - 15 days = 10/15/2011) Here is one of our recent attempts: Giving the error - Object required: 'DateValue(...)' Dim dtmTest Dim formatedDate Dim currentDate Set currentDate = DateValue(Now) Set dtmTest = DateAdd("D", -15, currentDate) Set formatedDate = Format(dtmTest, "mmddyyyy") Call SSCalendarMaskedEdit.Keys(formatedDate & "[Tab]") The way we have achieved this in the past using a slightly different method was such: (Format(DateAdd("D", -15, Now), "mmddyyyy") ) This would not work either. Can anyone assist me with the proper terms that will work within TestComplete? Also, the return for 3/1/2011 would need to be formatted like: 03012011 Thanks for the help16KViews0likes4CommentsExamples folder (IE Projects\Data Driven Testing)
The TC book references a Projects folder and I'm unable to find this folder in the install directory etc to test a few of the examples out. We have been using TC for a while now and are wanting to start in Data Driven Testing. I would appreciate any assistance you could offer in this endeavor. Still didn't answer my question, is there anyway for us to re-save the project in TestComplete so that it will have all needed content in one folder so that we can push the folder to our other machine and will function properly in TestExecute?722Views0likes0CommentsSave a complete project that will run in TestExecute?
Generally when my fellow test creator and I would make a test suite in TestComplete it would all be contained within a single folder in which we just push to our TestExecute machine and run fine. Well a few days ago something happened, now all the tests will run fine within TestComplete but give one of several errors when ran from TestExecute. The folder structure is different and only has a Log folder and Visualizer folder, the scripts folder is gone etc. Now after a bit more research we find the scripts folder for the selected test and the rest of the missing folders however when put back into the proper folder in the traditional default structure it will function properly in TestComplete but still will not operate in TestExecute. We have no idea what happened or why things had been moved around, is there some option within TC that would do this and.or reverse it? Now my question is how we can take the working TC test and re-save it into a new folder with all scripts and other needed files so it will run within TestExecute so we do not have to waste a week redoing all our work.8.6KViews0likes3CommentsRe: How to retrive data from WPF datagrid through TestComplete
This sounds almost exactly like an issue I am currently having within a few WPF sections within our application. Columns seem to identify but is unable to map/record into proper rows/cells. This is an issue I had addressed a few months ago and was told something was being worked on to correct the issue within 8.5, we have since been using 8.2 hoping there would be a new update or a hotfix, however I still see the latest update is from May. Could we have a resolution for this issue and maybe some sort of timeframe for the next release or at least a hotfix for 8.5?3.2KViews0likes0CommentsSharing test scripts issues
I am having issues sharing test scripts across projects. So far I have tried simply coping the .sbv files into a new project and running it. They always seem to fail and I would like to know if there are other files I need to copy along with it or if there is a proper way to export/import the test scripts into another project to have then function properly once placed into a new project.13KViews0likes2Comments
