Re: More Problems with latest TC 9 Patch - IE Browser Mapping is not aligned to object
YES! Thank you Harnek - that was the problem - Now I just need to figure out the best way to set the zoom to 100% at the start of any test run (as I tend to zoom in and out a lot when viewing things on this pc)1KViews0likes0CommentsRe: More Problems with latest TC 9 Patch - IE Browser Mapping is not aligned to object
Note to smartbear support I have logged this as a support ticket (highest priority as I cannot do any testing till its fixed) and included the asf videos there - they show me clicking on the object spy then moving the mouse around a smartbear page, and the same thing on the tested app page.....1KViews0likes0CommentsRe: More Problems with latest TC 9 Patch - IE Browser Mapping is not aligned to object
turns out i cant upload a video so i have included a screenshot of what happens when I move my mouse over the test complete forum page with the object spy on. the same mis-alignment occurs when I select 'highlight item', and as a result button clicks are occuring off the button I did not map it this way - It wouldnt even be possible for me to do so. I am running IE9 and have the lastest test complete has anyone encountered this and know how to fix it? thanks1KViews0likes0CommentsMore Problems with latest TC 9 Patch - IE Browser Mapping is not aligned to object
Has anyone else had this issue? I will try and attach a vide clip explaining it as its a big difficult to describe. I will post with support as well but lately they seem to be taking a long time to reply and as I am on a different time zone, I usually have found a resolution myself by the time they do. Ive had this in the past and it was on Chrome and a patch was what fixed it - however I have just checked and there are no patches at all in the downloads page for IE so I dont know what to do next I have restarted and refreshed mapping and all the usual stuff with no luck I have a lot of web browser mapped objects which have been mapped that way for some time and I have not updated my browser from its current version (9) recently. Last Friday this script and the name mapping worked perfectly - the first tiem I attempted to run a script today this happened. I have been finding loads of things like this happening with test complete, all since the most recent update. Other examples include: Mapped objects suddenly not being recognised (fixed by restarting my pc - the mapping is correct and it works fine. then stops working, i restart pc and it works again, I make no changes at all to the mapping during this. Not waiting for objects Not recognising changes in object property even when refreshall alias statement is placed directly before the wait statement - I have been watching as scripts run and the object is on screen, visible, mapped correctly etc, but if statements or loops are ignored as if the object were not visible. If I run the same script and step through it slowly it will work (the scripts are timing the amount of time for a page to load etc, so I cant put in delay statements) I am now going to attempt to load a video fo this happening, in the hope someone here has a solution that will work as I dont really want to wait the rest of the week for a reply from support If I cant upload a video i will reply and try a screenshot instead14KViews0likes5CommentsRe: Interface Not Supported - on start up - reappears when I click ok - cant use TC at all
I have now also tried reinstalling tc - no change removing all files whicvh had been updated today from my project and doing a 'get latest' to replace any that were not created by me today from vault Now I get a different error - see attached606Views0likes0CommentsInterface Not Supported - on start up - reappears when I click ok - cant use TC at all
This is NOT the same issue that someone else has posted about and the solution they have been offered is impossible as I cant get into my project to edit the settings I have already logged this with support, but as I cant do any work till its fixed, I thought Id post here in case someone has had this and knows the solution... I was running a script and test complete hung and I had to use control-alt delete to end the process I am on the very latest version of TC After restarting, the start page loads and I select the project I am working on, and get the project loading message Then I get the message: Interface not supported When I click on ok it just reappears, over and over. The only way out is control-alt delete I can open other projects but not this one (which is the one all our work is in I have tried the following: Restarting my machine removing the scripts which were running (renaming the script file - I cant change any project settings due to the error message which loads and wont go away Replaced the boardbook preoject file (.mds) Replaced my name mapping with a back up as I had done a lot of name mapping before running the script Deleted the entire contents of the log folder None of the above made any difference I cannot change any project settings - because I cannot get into my project. The error message appears on loading the project and no matter how many times I click on "OK" the same message reappears The script that was running when it crashed was adding a project variable. HELP! I have a pile of work to do and cant do a thing. I am in the southern hemisphere so every time I have to log a support ticket i have to wait till the next day (if im lucky) for a reply and if the reply does not fix the issue, then I reply to them and wait another day or two for a reply back - in a 2 week sprint this as you can imagine rapidly bites into my time to deliver my sprint work.....15KViews0likes2CommentsRe: TC9 Recording Issues
I am having major issues with this too and I am not recording web page actions (.NET tested desktop app). I cannot right click on anything at all - the right click menu simply wont ever display, and the recorded actions seem to have almost no relevence to what I actually did.801Views0likes0CommentsRe: TestComplete hung in debug mode. Starts after 5 minutes (ver 9.1)
Do you have global variables declared? Have you watched to see whether the execution point is during the 5 minutes? It will process all global variables (even if not in any script units that are being called by the test you run), plus it seems to check all scripts for syntax and invalid object property reference type errors before it executes anything...919Views0likes0CommentsRe: Testcomplete 9: Extremely slow test execution
Hi Alex. I have been experiencing similar problems as Hugo. FYI I am not on the version you mention above, but when I check for updates it says none are availble - hence I was not aware there was a newer version and have just posted in a diffrent thread asking when there would be an update. See attached screen recording. Please note it is an asf file, I had to rename it as it would not allow me to upload an asf extension, so you will need to rename back to view. As our license and login details are under our CTOs name, I dont have a password. Does this mean the only way I can download the update is to ask him to download it for me?
