Testing Silverlight Applications
I need to create scripts for a Silverlight application used through an Internet Explorer browser. When attempting to make my Silverlight application open to TestComplete by using the tcAgPatcher.exe utility, the following error message displays: Invalid number of parameters in the command line. Usage: tcAgPatcher [/silent] [/noBackup] xapfile /silent - silent mode, display no message boxes; /noBackup - do not make backup of original file. Does anyone know the steps that I need to take in order to make TestComplete recognize my Siverlight application? Thanks13KViews0likes1CommentSQL Database Validation
The sofware that I'm testing creates a new SQL database with a unique name everytime the software is run. I would like to create a script that validates the tables within each new database. Is it possible to validate a database with a dynmic name? Thanks, Melissa9.5KViews0likes3CommentsRe: Excel Spreadsheet Validation
I am using the following code to compare two Excel files: Set oExcel = Sys.OleObject("Excel.Application") Set aSheets = Sys.OleObject("Scripting.Dictionary") oExcel = .OleObject("Excel.Application") aSheets = .OleObject("Scripting.Dictionary") fileName = "<C:\Test238>" Set aInfo1 = ExcelObj.CreateInfo(oExcel, fileName, aSheets) fileName = "<C:\Test>" Set aInfo2 = ExcelObj.CreateInfo(oExcel, fileName, aSheets) oResult = ExcelObj.Compare(aInfo1, aInfo2) If Len(oResult) > 0 Then Log.Warning oResult Else Log.Message "The files are the same." End If oExcel.Quit I keep receiving the attached error message.2.1KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Excel Spreadsheet Validation
Allen, Thanks for providing the link. There is a section that discusses script extensions and an accompanying link to download necessary files. The download does not contain a .TCXcontainneeded for script extension packages. Do youknow whereI canfind onethat works with Excelspreadsheets? The web site that I am testing contains a feature that allows a user to export search results into an Excel spreadsheet. Each downloaded Excel spreadsheet contains a unique name. Is there a way to automate spreadsheets with dynamic names? I would like to create a dataset to compare each exported Excel spreadsheet. Is this possible? I've attached a sample copy of a spreadsheet. Thanks for your help!17KViews0likes8CommentsRe: Test Execute - Running Tests on various machines
Thnaks for your reply, Jared. I've read the command line help section which was pretty confusing to me as a first time user. Do I need to install TestExecute on each test computer in order to access the TestExecute command line? Thanks, Melissa932Views0likes0CommentsTest Execute - Running Tests on various machines
Hello, I am new to TestExecute. I have a project that needs to be run on multiple computers. How do I useTestExecute to run my scripts on machines that do not have TestComplete installed? Is there also a user's guide for TestExecute? Thanks, Melissa15KViews0likes3CommentsNew to TestComplete Load testing
I am pretty new to TestComplete's load testing feature. I have afew questions: 1) Can I create a load test using a previously recorded script or keyword test? 2) Is there a way to modify 'think time?' 3) I've noticed that I receive connection and socket errors when using more than one virtual user. Does this indicate a connection issue with the web site that I'm testing? If not, do I need to make some sort of modification in TestComplete in order to resolve this issue?
