Re: Changing versions of software breaks name mapping
I was just going to post what cunderwdid previously... The software I test has a dynamic NAME and WNDCAPTION that consists of: <program><USERID><Version><Version date><env>i.e. ALJLN Ver 97 @ 10/24/16 DEV I simply map it with the WNDCAPTION of AL* because I like my scripts to be environment independent.2.2KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Converting project from 7.5.2 to 8 also converts backup copy of project..
We're not using TC 8's TFC Source control integration yet.. we'e just using it for general source control at the moment. so what I did was take my TC 7.5.2 projects on my mapped H: drive (Our department shared drive) and copied the whole thing to the local TFS source control folder (C:\TFS) After trying to track down references toold the H: drive folders and files (I dont think to keep a log of the changesto which references) I converted the copy of the project in C:\TFS to TC 8. When I did this, it also converted the project files on the H: drive. We'd like to keep a backup of the older files in the earlier format.962Views0likes0CommentsConverting project from 7.5.2 to 8 also converts backup copy of project..
We recently started using TFS for source control. Previous to this all our scripts were stored on a shared server. After moving the 7.5.2 files to TFS, I made sure any reference I could find to the old shared drive was changed to the local drive, saved the changes, then converted it in TC8. Much to my surprise, the copy on the shared drive also was converted to 8, and we want it to remain 7.5.2 compatible. Could I be missing a hidden reference somewhere? The shared drive files are NOT in TFS.12KViews0likes3CommentsaqConvert.IntToStr question..
Is there any way to make aqConvert.IntToStr() maintain the decimal places in the integer if they are zeros? Because of inconsistant formatting issues, I've got to manipulate some data formats before recording them to a text file. Would I be better off using standard VBscript commands instead?13KViews0likes1CommentBest way to convert date mm/dd/yyyy from table data to yyyy-mm-dd in VBScript?
Trying to reconcile the display of data in a web table to the same data from a DB2 DB. Unfortunately my company has no formatting continuity. Table dates are in the mm/dd/yyyy format, and of course DB is in yyyy-mm-dd. I've tried this to try and get the data format to be recognized as a date so I can use CDate: dday = Tbl.rows(rd).cells(cd).outerText dday = Chr(34)&"#"&dday&"#"&Chr(34) if IsDate(dday) then Log.Message("This is a date") But it doesn't appear to be working Any suggestions on how to handle it?15KViews0likes2CommentsWeird issue, running VBscript
I run my main VBScript which goes through and run several other subscripts. Several times today the script has just 'finished' in the middle of a For Next loop saying it finished successfully.. other times I tell it to run the routine and it pulls up the test log automatically and says it completed successfully without ever having run through one step of the script. Is anyone else having any issues lke this? It didn't do this before today that I am aware of. Maybe its a cache issue on my test machine?13KViews0likes3Comments
