Running same script on different machines simultaneously - Start and stop at same time and control this from one machine only
I have a requirement where I need to run same script on multiple machines simultaneously. It is like starting the scripts at same time and the scripts should continue its execution at same time intervals on multiple machines. I should be able to control when to start and stop the scripts for all machines. I would like to know if there is any such capability available in TestComplete? Or if you can suggest any other tool which can be integrated with Testcomplete scripts is also fine. We have all our automation scripts written in TestComplete using javascript. Some of the questions we have are - 1) Can the application support order submission at the same exact time (as liste din original requirement email) 2) How can # 1 be achieved wth in testcomplete scripts? 3) Can test execute systems reside outside a domain? Basically the idea behind this is, we are trying to do some kind of load/performance testing. I have gone through some notes about TestExecute, but it does not say anything about running the scripts simultaneously in multiple systems. Please let me know if you need any further information regarding our above requirement. Looking forward for your reply.13KViews0likes1CommentRe: How to continue with test runs automatically in case of error dialogs?
The OnLogError method is not helping my cause. I have followed the steps in other articles regarding this. My test suite still continues to abort. Just to clarify further, attached 3 snapshots as given below - Proj_properties - Showing my project properties in which show on error and error dialog are disabled testitem_Properties - Showing my test items and properties set to NONE so that it can continue to run its siblings errorLog - When my test suite hits error/exception "undefined variable", it aborts the whole project without running other testitems. Also if you notice that "extended message", it still says my testitem setting is set to "Test Item" and not None. Dont know why?. Apart from this, do I need to set any other information? Or if you need any further information, please let me know so that this problem can be resolved.1.5KViews0likes0CommentsHow to continue with test runs automatically in case of error dialogs?
I am facing an issue when running multiple testitems in the project properties. I am using Testcomplete 8. Let me explain my scenario, I have scripts named test1, test2, test3, test4 and test5. I have created two groups - group1 and group2. Group1 has child test items as test1, test2 and test3 Group2 has child test items as test4 and test5. Now I know that my test2 is going to fail giving some error dialog in the script (For eg:- object does not support this method). I have added this error deliberately. Now when I run the test Suite, it fails at the test2 and aborts the whole suite. What I want to do is, when the error dialog comes for test2, it should automatically abort only test2 and continue with the other test items Test3 and then Group2 - test4 and test5. I have also gone through the user manual and have set the project properties - Show on error and show on exception to FALSE. And on each testitems I have marked Show on error and Show on exception as NONE. According to manual, the suite should continue with other testitems, but I am not able to see that happening. Can anyone suggest what I need to do to get this behaviour?12KViews0likes6Comments
