Re: Test Execute window is Invisible
Thanks for quick response Colin. Could you please tell me how I can manage to run individual test units or else run selected batch scripts using TE. I tried to open script unit in TE but it couldn't find executable file apart from .pjs extension.. which means it wants to run whole project which is not my requirement. Any other way I can manipulate execution?1.7KViews0likes2CommentsTest Execute window is Invisible
Hello. We were using Test Complete all these days and decided to use Test Execute and eventually use it in VM. What is bothering is Test Execute application is not visible although it was running in the background. I can see the processes running and can execute the project as whole by right click on taskbar icon but have no control on test units and customization. Since, we never used it before, we are not aware of how the Test Execute works and if something was to be set while installing the application. I have done repair on installation and still the same. Could anybody tell me where we are going wrong. Thanks.Solved1.7KViews0likes4CommentsRe: Click method not accepted in chrome
Hi Lage, Thanks for response. I appreciate your simple answer that made me work hard to solve the problem. Your question: Are you sure that your icons are in the selected cell (0,3 ) instead of cel (0,2) ? My Answer: Yes, the icons were in the cell(0,3). Your suggestion:Maybe you can click on relative coords to the cell. My Solution: Yes, that works. The icons where accessible as HTML child elements but Click method was available in all the browsers except Chrome. I had to use 'offset.Width' & 'offset.Height' values to find the coordinates of the icons and click in the cell on those icons in the Chrome browser. This worked only for Chrome and could not be able ot click on the icon in the other browsers. So, I had to use conditional statement to make Click method browser specific. It was the case of simple solution but I was going through all but right direction. Thanks a lot.5.1KViews0likes3CommentsRe: How to use Check point on Pop Up Message box
Hello Pradeep It will be difficult to tell you without knowing what kind of properties that identified object (WPFObject("barManager")) is holding. It would have been helpful if provided with advanced properties of that WPFObject("barManager") and its Child Objects if any. Based on understanding of your requirement, if you just want to capture the popup and check if its text matches to your expected text. I would recommend you to customize your checkpoint according to your script using className, ObjectIdentifier or ObjectType properties of the popup Object you identified. Assign those properties to 'Find' method and using 'contentText' or 'textContent' or 'Value' you can compare the generated textvalue against the textvalue you are expecting. Hi Nilam Is the 'VisibleOnScreen' property of the Object is 'True' in your object browser? Did you try using other properties such as ClassName or ObjectIdentifier instead of object Id? In some cases the object is identifed in two instances and so in that cases it is worth using array of properties in Find method in which 'VisibleOnScreen' must be used as one of the property. May be your reply gives the clear understanding of your condition to experts if not the above works.1.3KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Click method not accepted in chrome
Hello Lage The problem here is that the icon element is not shown or identified by the object browser. Even the Object spy identifies the cell and not the icons that are child elements of it. I got access to those icons through html. It returns exists as true if I pass the checkpoint and can successfully click on them in IE. The problem only comes in chrome. Through some research in the other blogs I understood that onclick action is having some issues in chrome so I am assuming there is way out for this tried by other members or by our experts. Please find attached the object hierarchy. Thanks5.3KViews0likes6CommentsRe: How to use Check point on Pop Up Message box
Hello Pradeep I am not sure if you tried this but I think you would be able to capture the object and look into properties using 'Point And Fix' option of Object Spy. I would suggest you to open Object spy first and activate 'Point And Fix'. Then perform the action that generates the popup message box in your application. Now you should be able to point on the popup window and Click (Shift+Cntrl+A) and have an access to its properties and Text associated to it. I hope this works for you.3.8KViews0likes2Comments
