Infragistics UltraCheckEditor CheckedValueChanged Event
I have an ultracheckeditor and I am throwing up a messagebox that determines what course of action that will be taken. This is all happening inside of a checkedvaluechanged event. The problem is that the event can't finish so it hangs on me setting the checked state wtih my script. Is there any way to execute a code snippet that clicks the specified button on the messagebox or am I going to have to change the app to work around this problem? Hopefully I explained this well enough. Thanks MC13KViews0likes1CommentItcIntegration Return Log / Error
I am using a separate application to make calls to Test Complete using the TesetComplete Comm dll. My application calls individual functions such as setting a controls value one at a timeusing the same function being called my my app. Originally I was using On Error Resume Next but, the log in Test Complete will log it but I am wanting my external app to display the error or even show that I have an error. As far as I now the only way to even know that I have an error is using GetLastResultDescription which returns what and where it happened but not why. I removed the On Error Resume Next and it allows the application to catch the Errors in some cases but in others Test Complete seems to log the error in it's log and eat the Raise Error portion that goes up to my app. Is there anyway to either have the error message raised to my app or is there a way to view a specific log from my external app? Viewing a specific log is probably the best way to go in my opinion.14KViews0likes1CommentCasting From Generic Object
This is probably more of a VBScript question. I know that it is a limited in functionality but I haven't been able to figure out how to cast out of a Generic Object. I am using VS2008 to handle all the testing and am running the RunRoutineEx function for my parms. I am passing in an ArrayList that has two String Arrays in them. They pass in fine and I can see the values of each String inside the String Array in the Immediate Window but I thought I would be able to just call parm(0) to get the index 0 value but that does not work because it classified as an object when it gets into the TC Scripts. What's a little different is if I call IsArray it returns true and if I call TypeName it says that it is a String()which makes sense but why can't I use it as such? Hopefully this all makes sense.11KViews0likes3CommentsUltraGrid Return Multiple Rows
I am trying to find a good way to find out if I have any rows for an ultragrid that meet the criteria I passed into the binding source. EX: State = MO and ZipCode = 64414 The only way that I see is for the user to pass in one column and one value for that column. Am I wrong or is there someway to pass in a multi dimensional array to each parm?12KViews0likes4CommentsRe: Infragistics UltraGrid Locks Up TestComplete
I'll try to get a test app / logs that was wanted soon. My only thoughts are that it could possibly have something to do with CSLA but the grid that I am checking doesn't have any children in it's binding source so I am not sure what is going on.1.7KViews0likes0CommentsRunRoutine Executes Slow
I am wanting to use Visual Studio 2008 to handle the flow of my tests. I have created scripts that allow me to pass in the control name and the value to be used into a sub and it will set the value. I found that RunRoutine and RunRoutineEx are the only two functions that will do this from VS. I am noticing though that it takes a while to execute these and even though it is a COM reference and not .Net it feels a bit clunky. Take for instance I am calling a piece that will close the open form using ALT + F4 which seems to close the form in a few seconds but it will not exit out of the sub for another 5-10 seconds after it has already closed the form. Is this just the way it is going to be or is there something wrong with the way I have initialized my TestCompleteApplication and ItcIntegration variables? I am setting them using the Marshal.GetActiveObject or Activator.CreateInstance functions to initialize the TestCompleteApplication variable. Is there a better way to do this?11KViews0likes1CommentInfragistics UltraGrid Locks Up TestComplete
When I found that TestComplete now supports Infragistics 9.1 I was quite happy because we religiously use Infragistics controls in almost all of our apps. I have run into somewhat of a snafu. I am trying to find out if a grid has any rows in it before I try to access the control but when I call the grid using (ultragird.rows.count) it locks up TestComplete in the Playback mode and I have to terminate the process in order to do anything. All other windows operations seem to be running correctly but TestComplete locks up. I have seen this off and on over the past day of working with ultragrids. The other time that I have seen it is if I am accessing a grid that is on another tab, In my case I was deleting a row, granted I put a function in place to make sure that I am on the correct tab before trying to access any control that not on my active tab. Anyone have any suggestions?14KViews0likes6Comments
