These guys are usually very good so I'm hoping that they decided to make this fix and we can see this updated in the next release. :) I also wish to have a pony *sigh* :womanvery-happy: Re: Stop highlighting the entire script when i leave the cursor at the end of a line Hi MGroen2 I believe so too and i hope they follow through. The more Kudos this topic gets the more attention they will pay to this. :womanwink: Re: Stop highlighting the entire script when i leave the cursor at the end of a line Hi Colin This has been recognized by Support. I asked if he looked at the video and ... Hello Stephanie, Yes, I did. I have reproduced it in JScript. We will investigate it and get back to you in several days. Regards, Vladimir Lapidus SmartBear Customer Care :womanvery-happy: Stop highlighting the entire script when i leave the cursor at the end of a line Check out the video attached. Leave your cursor at the end of a line and in a few seconds the entire script highlights. According to Vladimir, this is not a bug but a feature. According to the information from the R&D team this is done to calculate an identifier under the cursor and cannot be disabled. The developer knows about this behavior and confirms this is planned one. But it highlights the ENTIRE SCRIPT. I'm calling "Shenanigans" on the Programmer here. This is extremely annoying when i'm trying to track down some code. I've put up with this for years and am still not liking it. At least allow us to change the highlighting options. Re: QAComplete sync with JIRA, how can we sync the folders? I've tried all sorts of combinations. OK I'll look forward to the decision of your prod mng team. Sad Steph Re: Has anyone tried to get TestComplete / QAComplete scheduled tests to run if the desktop sleeps? Here's the solution we are going to try.:robothappy: The machine running the automation cannot be locked. So the solution is ... QAComplete and TestComplete are both on my desktop in my home office. At the time of the scheduled test, the home office desktop will be locked. Another desktop in my office will be running Test Execute and not be logged off. In the wee hours of the morning QAComplete will kick off the scheduled test which will be executed by the logged on Test Execute desktop. My IT guys really want all tests to be 'unattended' and locked. From your reference Locked Computer since I have GUI tests the desktop cannot be locked. Think this will work before I acquire another desktop? Thanks Steph :womanvery-happy: Re: Has anyone tried to get TestComplete / QAComplete scheduled tests to run if the desktop sleeps? Thank you Tanya Yup we are trying the old "Remote Desktop to a remote desktop to the desktop" trick now. The real solution, it seems, is to just pony up for a VM license and I can just keep the test running in a secured environment. Working on that too. Thank you again :) Has anyone tried to get TestComplete / QAComplete scheduled tests to run if the desktop sleeps? Hi Didn't see this in the manual but i put the desktop to 'sleep' and the automation would not run. I suppose you have to wake up the desktop. And my IT guys require a login so using Task Scheduler, I get the 'login' prompt. Any other ideas besides a dedicated and secured pc? (which i keep asking for!) :smileyhappy: Thanks Steph Re: DDT.ExcelDriver for .xlsx not .xls Thank you for your help. That did work. Then I decided to see if I could get it to fail again so i closed the xlsx file. It still worked. The only thing I did differently was to allow a new windows update this morning and that did a full restart. So for anyone else, if you are in my situation, try a full power off and on. Who knows with Microsoft. Dhadhave iss excellent for helping me so fast: Thank you again:smileyhappy: Re: DDT.ExcelDriver for .xlsx not .xls WOW this is tough. It's simply not working. It stops at the first line. I downloaded the MS driver and have it setup like this: DDT.ExcelDriver("C:\\BillableAPIUsageReport.xlsx","BillableAPIUsageReport",true) while (! DDT.CurrentDriver.EOF()) { //Gets a value from the storage and posts it to the log Log.Message(DDT.CurrentDriver.Value(0)); DDT.CurrentDriver.Next(); } // Closes the driver DDT.CloseDriver(DDT.CurrentDriver.Name); The error i get is: There was an error on this page.Error description: External table is not in the expected format 14:38:03 Normal This works: DDT.ExcelDriver("C:\\BillableAPIUsageReport.xls","BillableAPIUsageReport",true) I've downloaded the driver, ran as admin. Restarted pc Had TC closed when i installed. Version 11.20.1491.7 Is anyone having any luck with xlsx and can 'show me the way' please? Thanks Steph Beach Certica Solutions.
