Re: Version 2.6.0 - Font size issues on Windows 10
Exitting ReadyAPI and restarting does apply the font size changes to XML tab, however, not to all areas. Projects page (attached) has tiny fonts, and Properties tab has correct font size, but line heights do not adjust, making the Propertiestab difficult to use, if at all (picture attached). This is on a multi-monitor setup, running Windows 10. ReadyAPI running inside one of the monitors, in both normal and maximize mode.6 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions4.5KViews0likes1CommentVersion 2.6.0 - Font size issues on Windows 10
Just installed version 2.6.0, and cannot find a way to set the font size project window or menu tab. I can set the "Form" tab using the Preferences | Editor | Font, but this does not apply to other areas.Solved6 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions4.6KViews0likes9Comments- 9.4KViews0likes0Comments
ReadyAPI needs tabbed interface on Projects view
Hello SmartBears The ReadyAPI does not have a tabbed interface under the Projects view. This change of interface (from SoapUI/SoapUI Pro) is a major drawback, and non of my co-workers will use ReadyAPI until this issue is solved. I poseted this as an issue in the forum, and was told this is working as expected, however, this is a mjor issue. The current ReadyAPI is geared to have you work inside of Test Cases inside the SoapUI tab. While this is great for items that have test cases, in the real world, peopledo not use your product only in this manner. In fact 90% of the Dev/Product Support people make an individual call(s) to web services for testing certain scenarios. When you operate in this manner - opening a web service Soap request under the Projects view, you do not get a tabbed interface, you only get the "<" and ">" to navigate to the requests that are open. Once you have opened a few requests, it is extremely cumbersome to navigate to other open requests. This is a sharp deviation from how SoapUI interface operated. The only way to get the tabbed behavior is by creating test cases in the ReadyAPI/SoapNG view. I would like to reiterate that this is a showstopper for the company I am currently at. No other staff will use ReadyAPI because of this major design change in your product. It adverselvy affects current user workflow with ReadyAPI. If this issue is not corrected in future releases, we will be forced to find another soap testing tool.9.4KViews0likes6CommentsRe: Save your workspace in multiple locations!!!!!!!!
The Auto Save feature will not help you in this case. If this has happened to you yet, consider yourself lucky. I have used SoapUI for more than 5 years and this had not happened before. If your project file gets corrupted, so will you auto save. That is what happened to me. As another user suggested, back up your project file(s) in source repository or other reliable backup source.1.4KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Tabbed Desktop not working
This has also been confirmed by a co worker on Windows 7. They actually uninstalled ReadyAPI and reinsatlled SoapUI because this issue makes ReadyAPI practiaclly unusable for our team. The situation is like this- If you open a project and are on the main page (not selecting SOAPUI NG button), you see the tree on the left (like SoapUI), and all the services, requests etc. If you open one of the requests, the request shows in the content area with NO TABS. There are no tabs in this content area. For example, - 1. open a soap service to login for example - 2. open a soap service to use a value from 1 above - 3. I want to run the request I opened in 1 above. There is no tab to select it. I have to find it agin in the tree on the left, or click the back arrow at the top left to go back until I find the request / response I need to copy data from. So I found it, copied the data. - 4. Now I have to find my way back to the request in step 2. Same issue. I have to find it in the tree or page click forward/back until I find the correct request to copy a value to. If you have to copy values from multiple other soap responses, this process becomes unusable. This was not the case with SoapUI. It would tab all of these calls, and you could easily switch between them to copy data, etc. Also, in SoapUI there was a menu option that showed your open requests. this also is gone in Ready API. I did see that if you click on the SoapUI NG button, you can see your test cases, and these are tabbed, and work as expected. However, this is only for test cases. It does not seem that you can do ad hoc calls from the left tree -- only test cases.9 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions1.6KViews0likes1CommentTabbed Desktop not working
I have selected "Tabeed desktop" in Preferences | UI | Workspace type, but I do not see any tabs. This used to work on SoapUI pro. Am I missing something? "Tabbed desktop" shows the same as "Single panel". I am running Windows 10 in case that makes a difference.9 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions1.7KViews0likes3CommentsSave your workspace in multiple locations!!!!!!!!
I just lost who knows how many man hours due to SoapUI corrupting the workspace file. Fortunately I have a full backup on my backup drive (at home) but I won;t be back there for a week or so. So for now, I am f&ck@d. Open up SoapUI today, and apparently the last save failed and completly destroyed by workspace file. All it containes now is a bunch of NULLS. SEEING OTHER FORUM POST, THIS SEEMS TO BE A COMMN PROBLEM. So: USER BEWARE. Backup your workspace b/c SoapUI will, or some point, decide to completely trash your workspace file.1.4KViews0likes3CommentsInvalidDefinitionException
Hello I have used SoapUI for years, and just started getting this issue. When trying to load a new WSDL, in soapUI log, I get: Mon May 14 14:48:13 PDT 2012:ERROR:An error occured [com.eviware.soapui.impl.support.definition.support.InvalidDefinitionException], see error log for details In error log I get: Mon May 14 14:48:13 PDT 2012:ERROR:com.eviware.soapui.impl.support.definition.support.InvalidDefinitionException com.eviware.soapui.impl.support.definition.support.InvalidDefinitionException at com.eviware.soapui.impl.wsdl.support.wsdl.WsdlLoader.loadXmlObject(WsdlLoader.java:138) at com.eviware.soapui.impl.wsdl.support.xsd.SchemaUtils.getDefinitionParts(SchemaUtils.java:535) at com.eviware.soapui.impl.wsdl.support.xsd.SchemaUtils.getDefinitionParts(SchemaUtils.java:524) at com.eviware.soapui.impl.support.definition.support.AbstractDefinitionCache.update(AbstractDefinitionCache.java:97) at com.eviware.soapui.impl.support.definition.support.AbstractDefinitionContext$Loader.construct(AbstractDefinitionContext.java:226) at com.eviware.soapui.support.swing.SwingWorkerDelegator.construct(SwingWorkerDelegator.java:46) at com.eviware.soapui.support.swing.SwingWorker$2.run(SwingWorker.java:149) at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source) The WSDL is fine, as it was valid last Friday, and I can also run a request and get a response. I just cannot load a new (any) WSDL. Any ideas? I have also attached a dump of my set command output. Regards Jorge12 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions3.5KViews1like3Comments
