Re: Passing Certificate Credentials to WS Call
"Are you sure that correct parameters were specified fir the SetCertificateEx() function?" I believe they are correct but will check with the cert creator this morning. I was confused on the error message and thought that I would see something about "cert not found"...in essence I guess that's what I'm seeing. "Is certificate installed on the system where test code is executed?" Yes - it is definately available in the personal cert store on the machine in question AND I can browse the WS using IE and that cert. I will check input parameters again today and let you know if I find anything. Thank you for the reply!885Views0likes0CommentsPassing Certificate Credentials to WS Call
I have been using testcomplete for some time but am new to the Web Services functionality. I have a project set up and am able to access all of the properties and methods associated with the WS under test. The issue I am having is the proper way to pass certificate credentials in the WS request. I have tried both SetCertificate and SetCertificateEX using what I believe to be the proper input para ( str, int , int /int, int, int, str respectively) but I still get the error around proper authentication. VBScript runtime error. A certificate is required to complete client authentication - URL:MYWEBSERVICE - SOAPAction:urn:SubmitRequest I am assuming that if the SertCert functions were passing bad data, I would know that via an error message, the one above seems to indicate that the auth attempt isn’t present at all? The sample call in script is as follows: Call webservices.myservice.Credentials.ClientCertificate.SetCertificateex(1,5,14," key identifier ") I am thinking that since every request to this WS needs to be associated with a certificate that the “onWebServiceRequest” event needs to be in play but that is just a guess. Any thoughts? If yes to onWebServiceRequest event I’m really having an issue figuring out how to use it.913Views0likes2CommentsLook for reliable method to bring objects in to view
I'm having an issue with a web form which is somewhat long. It seems to be very difficult to scroll object in to view reliably. A portion of the form is fine (top)...when I have to go below that, Test complete auto scrolls too far (ScrollInToView). In this case the scrollbar is nonstandard (angular JS) so it is not accessible like standard scrollbars. Anyone have a snippet of code they have used which works reliably? I have tried a couple solutions which haven’t worked out very well i.e.: Do while not Obj.visible Page. Keys(Tab) Unreliable Click in currently exposed field then mouse wheel down Unreliable Test complete does try to find the field on its own but seems to over scroll each time1.1KViews0likes2CommentsRe: GUI changes in regression test
I'll speak specifically for my situation testing a Web based front end. I worked closely with the development team to ensure they supplied a unique identifier ( in my case IdStr) for each UI element, this allows me to avoid object mapping anddynamically interact with the element of interest. As others have mentioned, building in error handling is essential no matter what the object access method is. The bottom line is, if automation is important to your project team and the problem your having can be solved as I described, this shouldn't be a tough issue to solve. The switch from object mapping to finding a Unique ID may take some time but will pay off in the long run. I would be happy to provide more details if need be.2.9KViews1like0Comments[LoadUIWeb] unable to parse data. Object Index in a reference table is out of bounds
When verifying a scenario or running a load test, response data expected in the test show "loadUIWeb unable to parse data. Object Index in a reference table is out of bounds" in the response field. My question is, does LoadUIWeb Pro attempt to format the response OR does is simply pass through the response it receives? I'm trying to determine if this is a tool problem or if the response actually contains erroneous data. For the data in question, I am able to pull up through the UI with no issue. Thanks!861Views0likes0Comments[LoadUIWeb] Invalid FLEX session
Running against a flex based application, the Blaze DS server logs consistently write Invalid Flex Session(for each user session). Other logging seems to suggest the test is doing what it's supposed to, I am concerned I'm missing something: The test is simple: Login Search for record Wait for response Logout In the above test, my only options for dynamic AMF parameters ( extracted from response) is DSID. I am using real time cookies. I may be chasing my tail but ideally I would have a session established which is correct in the eyes of the server. Anyone with experience testing Flex based apps or with input to this particular issue, I'd appreciate input. Thanks!805Views0likes0CommentsRe: Batch Linking
Hijacking this thread as I have a similar question. Created a Release / Create Test Set and Link to release. The release only displays the test set(s) linked to the release but does not reflect the number of Test Cases. How can I link multiple TestCases to the release? I would have assumed that Linking a TestSet would show the total TestCases in that set to be reflected, but this is not the case. Obviously linking a large quantity of TestCases to a release one at a time isn't practical. Am I missing something? Thanks! I've upgraded and we are using all of the out of box methods to support flex / flash apps. Unfortunately I'm in a secure environment and don't have the ability to access external web pages, so I cannot check the sites you have provided. In our app, I do have access to all flex objects using the out of box method, the exception is the Ilog Elixir Gannt children, nothing I do seems to expose those objects. I can see the chart itself but no children.985Views0likes0Comments[LoadUIWeb] Certificate based authentication
Most DoD IT shops have to support Certificate authentication, would love to see it added. From user manual - An example of an unsupported authentication type is Certificate authentication (if your Web server employs Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), you can use client or server certificates to authenticate user’s access to the server). This authentication method is currently not supported by LoadUIWeb.851Views0likes0Comments
