run as

Win 7 64 bit app testing. There is a place in my application in which we run the app 'as administrator". When manually testing, we simply click on the icon for the application and select "run as administrator". I want to be able to do the equivalent in TC Run As. I want to specify the local administrator account with no domain or other credential as I do when testing manually. These tests run on many machines with different local administrator credentials. As it works in the manual testing, there must be some way to do the same within test complete.

Thanks

And/Or GET the credential of the currently logged in account which is universally part of the administrators group.

    Hi Stephanie,

By default, TestComplete launches tested applications under the same account TestComplete is running under. So, maybe the simplest approach will be to start TestComplete as Administrator. In this case, your tested app will be launched with administrator permissions.
