Upgraded project from TestComplete 9.20 to 12.42 x64 and lost the ability to Spy TextObjects

Upgraded project from TestComplete 9.20 to 12.42 x64 and now I am unable to spy TextObjects with the Text Recognition property "AfxWnd100u".  During test execution I intermittently can get TextObjects from the testObj, however most times I only get some of the Text Objects on the screen.  Any ideas what could be the problem?

No, all those settings are the same.  I'm running both v9 and v12 side-by-side.

If you change it to "AfxWnd*" are you able to force TestComplete to recognize text, or is it only on some controls?
