Are you copying over just the suite file or the whole folder tree? Visualizer image files, etc., are stored in a subfolder of the project and need to have the same relative pathing as where it came from. So, if you're not pulling things over into the same tree structure, you'll get that problem.
Personally... I don't use the visualizer that much. It's nice to turn on when I need to debug something but, for me, it doesn't add any benefit to the overall execution of a project. So...I usually turn it off and don't preserve visualizer files longer than necessary.

Why automate? I do automated testing because there's only so much a human being can do and remain healthy. Sleep is a requirement. So, while people sleep, automation that I create does what I've described above in order to make sure that nothing gets past the final defense of the testing group.
