TestExecute hangs on exit on Win 10

hi,

I use TE11.30, start it from a .cmd file.

On a Win 7 machine, everything works fine.

On my Win 10 machine, TE doesn't exit properly, leaving Tasks active, see screenshot:

- after confirming the save changes query, TE is left active, so the rest of the batch commands are waiting (TE icon is removed from the tray), TE can not be started again..

The batch command is:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\SmartBear\TestExecute 11\Bin\TestExecute.exe" "I:\Automatisierung\Projects\Test TC\PVA Systemtest.pjs" /r /p:"Test Prototyp"

(I skipped the /exit command and did that manually).

When I start TE manually, exit works.

Did anybody have similar problems? Any workaround known?

Regards,

Manfred

  • Actually... if you check the release notes for TC 14 that were just posted, this was a known problem specifically with the recent October update for Windows 10, even in TC 12.6.... TC 14 addresses this problem.  I'd check with your sales rep and see what you can do about upgrading...
