I've had this happen to me before, but it usually ended up being a problem with memory on my workstation.
If you want to see what script was executing, you can turn on the "Auto-Save" log option. This will save the log file every x number of minutes so you will at least see what was happening at the time of the crash.

Why automate? I do automated testing because there's only so much a human being can do and remain healthy. Sleep is a requirement. So, while people sleep, automation that I create does what I've described above in order to make sure that nothing gets past the final defense of the testing group.
