How I can compare and validate(Actual vs Expected) Screenshot through DOM?

Hi,

 

Screenshot is an image. DOM is a text (or hierarchical tree structure if you like). Do you think they are comparable?

 

What is your actual task / scenario / problem?

Do you want to compare the hierarchy of objects displayed in the Object Browser? The question isn't clear.

I would go back and question that requirement for more detail.  As mentioned, DOM is HTML text... screenshots are images.  You really can't compare the two.

Why automate?  I do automated testing because there's only so much a human being can do and remain healthy.  Sleep is a requirement.  So, while people sleep, automation that I create does what I've described above in order to make sure that nothing gets past the final defense of the testing group.
