Recorded script only capture mouse click points by x,y position in WPF desktop application
Hi,
I recorded the script in test complete. It only captured mouse click points by x, y position in WPF desktop application.
We are not able to find the elements of the application and click on it.
below is the screenshot -

The screenshot of the application, while helpful for context, gives us nothing to go on in order to understand why TestComplete isn't seeing the components.
There are any number of reasons WHY it wouldn't. However, I would recommend starting with https://support.smartbear.com/testcomplete/docs/app-testing/desktop/wpf/about.html and going through all the documentation including what plug-ins are enabled, what versions of the technology you're using, what version of TestComplete you are using.
After going through all that... the next is to get an understanding of what kind of components these are. If they are non-standard, custom components, TestComplete doesn't necessarily "understand" custom controls. You may have to do some additional object mapping in your project for TestComplete to recognize the controls.

Why automate? I do automated testing because there's only so much a human being can do and remain healthy. Sleep is a requirement. So, while people sleep, automation that I create does what I've described above in order to make sure that nothing gets past the final defense of the testing group.
