Performance issues with iOS support in 10.3 with FindChild method

Hi All,

I am seeing significant performance issues when using the FindChild method as the result of upgrading from 10.2 to 10.3 my scripts are running 5 times slower than before the upgrade.

Anyone seeing this also? Any workarounds?

Thanks.

    Hi All,

Looks like the issue is with 32-bit devices in TC 10.3

    iPad2 with 7.1.1 script runs in 8 min : 40 secs

64-bit - iPad Air 7.1.1 same script completes in: 2 min :27 sec

Before I upgraded I did not see this issue.

    Hi Tanya

I rolled back to 10.2 and back up and running.

Still not sure the root cause but the way I see it could be:

      1) The upgrade itself, fixed a few thing, but introduced some regression issues

      2) The building of the TC iOS libraries into our App

      3) Coding that I am writing is not efficient or effective, that was once OK, but not anymore.

If you or anyone can offer feedback or comments on what else could have contributed to the unsuccessful upgrade to 10.3, it would be much appreciated.

Limited testing in 10.3 I did confirm that this issue I reported in 10.2 was resolved:

But the runtime performance was impacted. Especially if you rerun the same script more than once, subsequent iterations ran slower and slower.
