Page Unresponsive in browser during recording

Basically testcomplete cannot handle recording the clicking of a dropdown that has hundred or so elements in a dropdown list. How do i deal with this? I eventually get a popup that says do you want to wait or close page because its unresponsive. Only happens while recording with testcomplete.

    Hello jthompson1 -

    I would suggest trying to add this step to your test manually instead of recording it. You may have better luck by dragging and dropping an “On Screen Action” into the test while not recording. Then continue on with the recording after you have added this step to the test.

    You may also want to map the element prior to adding the step manually to your test.
