Items getting wrongly mapped

Hi all

It seems that the object is getting wrongly mapped to a different alias.

The object in below screen is by default getting mapped to 'Alias.browser.pageLiveChatMozillaFirefox.framemain.textbox'. However this alias belongs to to different object on a different screen.

Is there a way I can unmap this object to the alias in question without actually deleting the alias from name mapping ?

Is there a way I can ensure that this doesn't happen ?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Items getting wrongly mapped

Yes, you can edit the Alias

https://support.smartbear.com/testcomplete/docs/testing-with/object-identification/name-mapping/how-...

To try to keep this from happening again, make sure there is something in the high level name of the tree that this object is in that is different from the one it got confused with.
