How to start a single test from an external application

For your info: At the moment we only have a trial version of TestComplete. We have to call single TestComplete tests from an external application and wait for them to finish. The questions are
1. How are single tests called from external applications?
2. How is the TestComplete license passed?

  • 1. Since I'm not sure what external application you are using, here's a list of compatible ones and links to how they work with TestComplete.

    2. You don't need to pass anything special for the license as a parameter when you are running the tests. If you've set up the testing machine to be able to access TestComplete, then that setup will be detected each time you run the test.
