Error occurred during the execution on Test-Execute 12

Hi,

Encountered an error during the execution on TestExecute 12.

Error: 'No module named xxxx'

Note : 'xxxx' is a third party module.

I am able to import the module on 'Testcomplete 12' and ran the test successfully but I am not able to run the test on 'TestExecute 12'.

Kindly assist.

Many thanks.

Re: Error occurred during the execution on Test-Execute 12

What version of TestComplete and what version of TestExecute?  There are sub-versions of TestComplete 12.  Starting with version 12.40, there is a 32-bit copy and a 64-bit copy of the application installed.  It's possible that you may be running the 32-bit version of one and the 64-bit version of the other.  This is one explanation for why modules may not always import properly.

Why automate?  I do automated testing because there's only so much a human being can do and remain healthy.  Sleep is a requirement.  So, while people sleep, automation that I create does what I've described above in order to make sure that nothing gets past the final defense of the testing group.

Error occurred during the execution on Test-Execute 12

Well, I just checked both the versions of TestComplete and TestExecute.

*Testcomplete v = 12.10 x64bit
*TestExecute v = 12.50 x64bit

Looks like not much difference in both of these versions.

Any suggestion?

Please help.

Could you please help me with the download link to both TestcComplete and TestExecute 32 and 64 bit.

Thank you.

The 64-bit version of TestComplete wasn't released until 12.40.  So, if you're running TC 12.10, you're running the 32-bit version.  By default, versions 12.40 of both TC and TE, when installed, create all shortcuts pointing to the 64-bit version.  However, the 32-bit version is installed as well.  So, for your TEstExecute, try pointing your shortcuts/paths/tasks to C:\Program Files (x86)\SmartBear\TestExecute 12\Bin and running the executable there and see if your module loads.
