Disabling Multi-process Mode in Firefox 63 causes TLS Handshake Issue Using Certificates

Issue:
Disabling Multi-process Mode in Firefox 63 causes TLS handshake Issue while using certificates
&nbsp;
Prior to following the "Preparing Firefox for Web Testing" recommendation for TestComplete, I am able to complete a secure connection using hard certificates using Firefox 63.0.3; however, when "browser.tabs.remote.autostart" is configured to "false",&nbsp;and I restart Firefox, a TLS handshake no longer completes and Firefox freezes. This freeze requires ending the Firefox process.&nbsp;

Resolving this requires reverting&nbsp;"browser.tabs.remote.autostart" to "true", and restarting Firefox. *Note: In some cases it was necessary to conduct a hard reset of Firefox settings to their default state and reloading certificates.&nbsp;

Is there a work around?&nbsp;
Is anyone else experiencing this issue?&nbsp;

What version of TestComplete are you running?

You said "prior to" - have you actually installed patches from here?&nbsp; Which ones?

Based upon the article at&nbsp;https://support.smartbear.com/testcomplete/docs/app-testing/web/general/preparing-browsers/firefox.html disabling multi-process is only necessary for certain scenarios.
&nbsp;
If Firefox is running in this mode, TestComplete might experience issues with:

Detecting web dialogs like Alert, Confirm or Prompt.

Detecting the browser’s active tab.

Testing Flash and Flex applications.

If you're not doign any of those in your automation, there's no need to disable the multi-process.

No, I have not downloaded and applied the following:

TestComplete ver. 12.60 build 5545
TestComplete modules (1.6 MB) Read the installation notes

How do I know 12.60.5545.7 doesn't already have the above patches or should I assume that (.7) doesn't have the patch?

All those extensions listed for the patch above are in the Extensions directory:

If there is a patch available for FireFox, then the default installation doesn't have it.&nbsp; Browsers update all the time so recompiling and re-releasing TestComplete each time there's a browser update doesn't make sense.&nbsp; So, SmartBear provides patches for each browser update that occurs after the application has been released.&nbsp; I'd highly recommend downloading the Firefox patch and seeing if that solves your problem.
